Crocodiles see well, their eyes are equipped with three eyelids, each having a different function. Their eyeballs slide back out of (1)__________ way during an attack. English is the most important in the world today. A very large number of people understand and use English in many countries of the world. Indeed English is a very useful language. If we speak English we can go to any place or country we like. We shall not find it hard to make people understand what we want to say. English also helps us to learn all kinds of subjects. Hundreds of books are published in English every day in many countries to teach people many useful things. The English language has, therefore, helped to spread ideas and knowledge to all the corners of the world. There is no subject that cannot be taught in English.           None of this, however, is spoiling anyone’s fun. The Mediterranean gets more popular every year with tourists. Obviously, they don’t go there for clean water and solitude. They tolerate traffic jams and seem to like crowded beaches. They don’t even mind the pollution. No matter how dirty the water is, the coastline still looks beautiful. And as long as the sun shines, it’s still better than sitting in the cold rain in Berlin, London, or Oslo.
