Use" despite" to combine each pair of these sentences:

1. He often tells lies. Many people believe him.

→ Despite his lies, many people believe him.

2. She didn't eat much. She was hungry.

→ Despite being hungry, she didn't eat much.

3. He is over 60. He doesn't wear glasses.

→ Despite being over 60, he doesn't wear glasses.

I. Using though, although, even though then change the sentence, then rewrite the sentences, using in spite of or despite.

1. He often tells lies. Many people believe him.

although he often tells lies, many people believe him.

in spite of telling lies, many people believe him.

2. Hoa didn't eat much. She was hungry.

despite her hunger, Hoa didn't eat much
