I have an unusual hobby: carving eggshells. I started this hobby four years ago after getting a carved egg from my dad when he came back from Japan. It's amazing that something as fragile as an empty eggshell can be made into such a beautiful piece of art. I was so amazed that I learned how to carve them myself from the internet. I find carving eggshells a little difficult but so interesting and useful. The feeling of accomplishment when I finish a piece is absolutely awesome. This hobby also helps me be more patient and careful.

Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. In 1076, the first university of Vietnam called Quoc Tu Giam (The Imperial Academy), was established within this temple by Emperor Ly Nhan Tong. That's the reason why the complex has the name of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam up to now. Initially, Quoc Tu Giam was the school for princes and children of royal families and then expanded in the following year to admit top students from around the country.

Nowadays, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most famous tourist destinations for both Vietnamese people and foreigners. It's also a place to celebrate doctorates and high ranking scholars of Vietnam. One special thing about this place is that there are 82 Doctors' stone tablets. They are tombstones with names and origins of 1304 doctors placed on the backs of stone tortoises. If you come here at the beginning of the year or in May, when many important examinations take place, you will catch sights of numerous families and students who come and pray for luck.

Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam opens daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the entrance fee for each adult is 30,000 VND.

Cooking is my favorite hobby. My grandmother taught me how to cook my first dish when I was 8. My family enjoyed it so much so that is when I started this hobby. Some people say cooking is a waste of time but I find this hobby very interesting and meaningful. I really love trying new food and cooking for my family. The feeling of making my family happy with my food is amazing. I often collect recipes from my mother and my grandmother. Sometimes I also get recipes from the internet. Then I write them in a notebook. I hope I will become a good chef and have my own cookery book in the future.

        Music is an impotant part of our lives, so I listen to it every day. And now, it's become my hobby. I like listening to English music the most, however, from time to time, I like to listen to pop music in Japanese. And now, I am very idolized for one person, that is the virtual singer Hatsune Miku of the vocaloid group, in Japan. Her voice is tall and cute, that's why I like her very much. I really enjoy listening to music because it has many advantages. I can try to relax by listening to music after straight lessons. - The first university in Vietnam is Temple of Literature. The Temple of Literature was built in 1070 under the reign of Emperor Ly Thanh Tong to honor Confucius and later used as a royal school, where Emperor Ly Nhan Togn studied when he was a five-year-old children. Nowadays, it's about 10 minutes away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The Temple is divided into five courtyards. The first courtyard is from the main gate to Dai Trung Gate. The second is Khue Van Pavilion. The pavilion symbol is used on all street signs of Ha Noi. The third courtyard is the place where doctorate names were listed on the stone tablets above tortoise backs. Theb fourth courtyard is dedicated for Confucius and his 72 honored students. The last is also the farthest courtyard is Thai Hoc House, which was used as the Imperial Academy.

- Having a good health is very important to us. It takes a long time for you to know about disease so you need to stay healthy. Anyway, there are lots of ways to have a better life. My hobby is reading. I read story books, magazines, newspapers and any kinds of material that I find interesting. I started reading when I was a little girl. I used to ask my father to read fairy tales. Then I learned to read. At first, I read simple books, then stories. Now I read everything. I love reading novels. Even I can read short stories in English, especially I'm interested in reading funny stories. Through reading, I can learn about many things: how people live, how things go on everywhere in the world. Books provide me necessary information and fact. I don't have to learn things the hard way, books have certainly helped me so much in my daily life. Books would be my lifelong friends. I would never stop reading them in my life.

     My hobby is listening to music. I started this hobby 2 years ago, when I saw an interesting music show on TV and I liked it right away. Then, I had heard many other songs, and I started listening to music. After that, I shared my hobby with my brother, Phuc, and he liked it too. To continue my hobby, I always go to the concert, or listen to music in my free time. When I listen to music, I feel comfortable. It also helps me to improve my English, my Japanese, my Chinese through the songs I have heard. My favorite songs are "Criminal" and "I see a dreamer"(a song of Dream :3). Listening to music is very useful and helpful, so I will continue this hobby in the future. I have a lot of hobbies but recently, it is using hoc24. I only came here at first because it was affiliated with olm but I found this to be a great site, it helped me to understand and learn a lot of things, not only about learning but also getting acquainted more interesting friends. Although I recently had a problem with my account and had to study for an English exam, I still spent at least 1 hour here to answer your questions.
