The traffic can be a nightmare for visitors to Viet Nam for the first time. Believe it or not, there are transport rules but people don't seem really interested in following them. Three or four people on one motor bike is a common sight, particularly with the young.
The traffic is worst during the rush hour when everyone is attempting to get to work or get home quickly. Some people ride their motorbikes on the pavement rather than waiting in the traffic jam. The people walking are just as likely to get hit on the pavement as they are crossing the roads at such times. It's crazy. Road users become very impatient, constantly using their horns when there's obviously nowhere to go, even shouting at others to get out of the way. You have to be quite aggressive or you get nowhere. The most annoying thing about the traffic is the way people use their horns. It's a habit which serves no purpose most of the time. A disturbing trend is the fashion for installing air horns on motorbikes. This is really annoying for other people and sometimes it causes accidents. And imagine how many people are waiting in the traffic jam, it means how many hours of working and how much gasoline we are wasting. The losses we are suffering may be more than that, the losses of health as breathing the polluted air must be taken into account. Driving motorbike in big cities brings to us zero pleasure and much stress. Bad traffic kills more than one. Of course, there’re the accidents we see and fear, but there’s also a more silent killer: traffic jam that hold up ambulances, patients caught in gridlock often don’t receive the attention they need in time and often die because of it.

Traffic safety and traffic that the world now needs to pay attention. it is not only the most important factors crucial to the development and survival of a nation, a territory but a junction of trade between regions of countries, cultures on world together. In advanced countries, the situation and development of their traffic is quite developed with a dense transport network and is regulated, but in Vietnam, … Urban transport situation in Vietnam is extremely chaotic. On average there are thousands of cases every year in traffic accidents, causing serious loss of life and property. Despite being upgraded and renovated several times but the transport system of Vietnam has not improved as much. Traffic jams occur repeatedly in large cities damaging hundreds of billion per year, not only that the injuries related to traffic accidents is also increasing, especially head injuries , spine. Circulation of vehicles on roads, railways, waterways each year but with increasing road infrastructure can present data to help the traffic situation.

It is believed that the number of the people who have died in traffic accidents is much higher than that of the people who have died of cancer or any other disease. In Ho Chi Minh City, the problem of traffic accidents is really serious. The following measures should be taken to reduce the seriousness/to minimize the consequences of this problem.

Firstly, the system of the main streets in Ho Chi Minh City must be improved or upgraded. It is awful to move along the streets of Ho chi Minh City because most of them are in bad condition and some are full of holes, either big or small. In addition, during the rainy season many streets are flooded with water after a heavy rain. If we are not careful enough, we easily hit other people or fall off our bike or motorbike.

Secondly, law-breaking and drunken riders/drivers should be punished strictly. These law-breaking and drunken riders/drivers are the “devils” of the streets: they operate their motor vehicles at a high speed and sway from one side/curb of the street to the other whenever they feel excited. There is no doubt that one of the main reasons of serious traffic accidents is the riders’ or drivers’ carelessness and lack of self-control.

Last but not least, calling for every citizen’s obeying traffic laws is crucial. The cit dwellers’ awareness of the necessity to obey traffic law is quite low; consequently, they travel along the streets without paying close attention to traffic lights and other signals. Quite often, motor-cyclists occupy the lanes for cars and other four-wheel motor vehicles while taxi drivers speed up, forcing the riders/drivers of other vehicles to give way to them. It takes a lot of time and energy to draw the attention of anyone who does travel along the streets in Ho Chi Minh City to the well-established traffic laws here in particular and to make each of the city dwellers a law-abiding citizen in general. But it is worth it!

In conclusion, we are all overwhelmed by the increasing number of the traffic accidents in Ho Chi Minh City nowadays. It is time to upgrade the whole system of the main streets in this city and apply strong efficient measures both to punish those who break traffic laws and to call for every citizen’s consciousness of obeying these laws strictly whenever he/she travels along the street in this city. The sooner these suggestions will be taken into account, the less serious the traffic accidents happening in Ho Chi Minh City will be.”

Nowaday, traffic problem is one of the biggest problems that all people concern. In Vietnam, not only the biggest city - Ho Chi Minh or the capital of our country - Hanoi but also all the big cities are facing with this issue.

The first problem is the traffic jam . Why? In rush hours of the day, there are too many people using roads . Last year, in 2013, many bridges was built so it happen less but in order to stop this, a kind of small car should be invented, people should go to works by public transports such as buses instead of going by motorbikes...

The second one, as you know, the roads in VN is not as big and clean as the roads in the other countries. They're narrow, bumpy and sometimes dirty so it’s really hard for people to drive safely. I think we should raise money to make roads in VN better and better.

But everyone knows that most Vietnamese people don’t follow the traffic rules or there are also someone who don't know the rules in a full way. That’s the biggest reason for everything. They wear the helmet that not safe enough or they wear it in a careless way. So, if the accident may happen when they ride too fast on the roads, especially in small and bumpy roads…

To sum up, traffic problem is becoming a hot potato and getting worse. If people don't take action right now by some ways that I've mentioned above, this hard issue will bever be solved.

Nowadays, traffic problems is one of the biggest problems that Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, has to deal with. The first problem is traffic jams. There are too many people using the roads, especially in rush hours when everyone is in a hurry to get to work or come back home. Another problem is poor road conditions. The road is too narrow and bumpy. Moreover, many streets in Hanoi is usually flooded when it has heavy rain making it difficult to move. Traffic accidents is the biggest problem. Everyday, there are more and more accidents happening because of careless drivers: Driving after drinking alcohol, not wearing helmets, and so on. Therefore, solving traffic problems is not only the agent’s duty of Hanoi but also awareness of ourselves.

I live in Vietnam and there are a lot of traffic problems in big cities in my country. Firstly, there are too many people using the roads especially in the rush hour when people run out to work and school or get home from those places. Secondly, there are too many vehicles on the road that leads to traffic jams. Another problem is that many roads are narrow and bumpy. Fourthly, there are traffic accidents every day so a lot of people lose their lives or are injured. So in order to travel on the roads safely, I think we should obey the traffic rules and traffic signs as well. Moreover, carefulness is very necessary.

Traffic jam is not only a problem that Vietnam now has to deal with but also an issue needs overcoming in many other countries. Traffic jam is when there are too many transports moving on a road, and it often occurs in rush hours. We can see that in many cities. Due to a large population and poor infrastructure, with many personal motorbikes, Ha Noi is one of the cities in Vietnam must suffer from the traffic jam. Traffic jam has an influence on us: it leads to annoying and uncomfort. Moreover, the ozone layer is also affected by the carbon dioxide discharged. There are some solutions released to cope with this problem. But the most important way is from us. We ought to use public buses instead of personal transports so that trafic jam can be removed.

Nowadays, traffic is one of the most serious problems in our world. My town has the same problem. Neither children nor adults obey the traffic regulations. As far as I know, everyday, especially in overcrowded city, there are total hundreds of traffic accidients happen with thousands of people die. And all the reasons: not following the traffic regulations. This includes running red-lights, rash jaywalking, traveling three, four, or even five to a motorbike or bicycle, etc. All of the infringements I mentioned above are just one of the problems of traffic in my city. Yet, governments nowadays are ignoring these violation. Bumpy, narrow roads, traffic jams, comfortless transportation, etc. So, I hope that everything I listed above will be read and understood by society nowadays. Everyone can be better, if they just try.I believe that. I'll be watching.
