My last weekend was great/ interesting/ wonderful/ amazing/ … . I went back my hometown last weekend.

On Saturday, I got up late, then I went to the market with my mother. I cooked meal with my mon, and I had lunch at 11:00. After that I took a nap. In the afternoon, I played football with my friends in my hometown. In the evening, I watched TV with my parents and went to bed at 22:00 o’clock.

On Sunday, I just stayed at home and prepared for my new week. I enjoy sleeping most because I have to study all 5 days of the week, and I don’t have enough time to sleep. Therefore, I spend my weekend sleping.

I enjoy cooking most because it’s a necessary activity for my future life, and I feel happy when I help my mother cook meals.

Vào thứ Bảy, tôi dậy trễ, sau đó tôi đi đến chợ với mẹ tôi. Tôi nấu ăn với mẹ tôi, và tôi ăn trưa lúc 11 giờ. Sau đó tôi ngủ trưa. Vào buổi chiều, tôi chơi đá banh với đám bạn ở quê. Buổi tối thì tôi xem TV với ba mẹ và đi ngủ lúc 10 giờ đêm.

Vào Chủ nhật, tôi chỉ ở nhà và chuẩn bị cho tuần mới. Tôi thích ngủ nhiều hơn vì tôi học liên tục 5 ngày trong tuần, và tôi không có thời gian để ngủ. Vì thế, tôi dành ngày cuối tuần của tôi để ngủ.

Tôi thích nấu ăn nhiều hơn bởi vì đó là một hành động cần thiết cho tương lai cuộc sống của tôi, và tôi cảm thấy hạnh phúc khi giúp mẹ tôi nấu ăn./.

I think my last weird day was on Sunday. As usual, after I got up, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Then, I had a big breakfast. My mother and I visited my grandparents and had lunch there. In the afternoon, I went to Apollo English Center to take my test. The test was a bit difficult so I didn't think that I will have great marks. But at last, I knew that I had a very high score! I'm so suprised about that. In the evening, I ate dinner at a small restaurant, then I came home and surfed the Internet until ten p.m, then I went to bed. I think yesterday was a wonderful day!

At twenty-five past nine, the bell rings and all the students do into the yard. It is time for recess. They are all happy and excited. They meet their friends and have some fun. Many are talking about the last class, or last night's movie. Som are eating and drinking as well as chatting. Some students are playing gameslike blindman's bluff or catch. Some boys are playing marbles and some girls are skipping rope. But the most popular activity is talking. The yard is very noisy until the bell rings. Then everyone goes indoors and classes begin again.

My name is Huy. I am twenty-four years old. I live in Ho Chi Minh city in the south of Vietnam.I’m a generous and easy-going person but when it comes to work I’m a competitive perfectionist. I’m also an optimistic and outgoing person so I have many friends and other social relationships. I enjoy reading, writing and doing math. I decided to become a Civil Engineer because I have always been fascinated by bridges, buildings, and skyscrapers. A degree in Civil Engineering enables me to achieve my goals and also gives me an opportunity to make a difference in the community.

Five years from now, I want to become a project manager of a construction project. As a project manager, my primary goals are managing people, set budgets, and making decisions of all kinds. I also want to speak English fluently so I can work with people from different countries.

3. Talk about your Tet holiday .

Tet is a traditional holiday of our country, Vietnam.

It often begins in late-January and ends in early-February. With the meaning of seeing the old year off and welcoming the new year, Tet becomes a special occasion of reunion for Vietnamese families. At that time, all family members try to come back to their home and get together to make such preparations for Tet as buying new clothes and cleaning their house. A branch of apricot blossoms or a Kumquat tree is indispensable decoration for every family in these days. They seem like a fresh air to the house. We display a tray full of fruits and vases of flowers on the ancestral altar.

Some typical Tet's food are sweets, coconut jam, fruit candies, melon seeds, stew pork with eggs, and especially sticky rice cake. Tet meals are usually bigger and more delicious than our daily ones.

On Tet holiday, people have many recreational activities. Young persons take part in the traditional games such as: tug of war, cooking rice, cock fighting, watching lion dance. Many people visit relatives to wish a happy new year. Adults will give lucky money to children. Woman like going to pagoda to wish good things for their family.

In my opinion, I like cozy and fresh Tet atmosphere. All family members gather and talk about resolutions for a happy new year. I can hang out with my friend and don't worry about anything.

" Tet" holiday is always in Vietnamese's heart.

1. Talk about your school .

There is a white three-storey building, surrounded by greenery, located at Simei Town Central. That is Simei Primary School. That is also the place where I have schooled for the last five years or so.

My school uniform is white. The boys wear a white shirt and white shorts while the girls wear a white blouse and skirt. The uniform must always be worn with the school badge which bears our school motto “Nothing without labor”. It means that we must be willing to work to get our reward. We are also taught to be honest and polite all the time.

Most of the teachers in my school are just and kind. However, there are some teachers who show favoritism. As a result, the students who are favored by these teachers are very proud and like to bully the others. In general, however, we all treat one another like siblings and live in harmony.

4. Talk about your house .

My house is located in a small quiet alley. That’s a pretty pink house which consists of 6 rooms in totally: a living room, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom and two bedrooms. There are a white leather sofa, a television and a sideboard in the living room. After dinner, my father will turn on the television, choose a great movie and we watch it happily. Next to the living room is the kitchen where is used for cooking and enjoying the meals. In the middle of the room is a dinner table which is made from wood. Three cookers, a refrigerator and all the neccesary stuff for cooking is arranged carefully in the right corner of the room. In the left of the kitchen is a clean toilet. Beside the toilet is the bathroom which is equipped a shower and a bathtub. There are only two rooms upstairs that is my parents’ room and my private room. I’ve decorated my bedroom with adorable wallpaper and many lovely stuffed animals. A single bed is placed next to the window so that I can stargaze before falling asleep. In the opposite of the bed are my desk and my bookshelf that contain many kinds of book. There are also an old television and a piano in my bedroom. I especially love the piano because that was the gift from dad in my birthday. In every Christmas or Tet holiday, all member of my family ornament the house together and then gather in the kitchen to cooking. Although my house is not too big but to me that is the most beautiful house in the world.

Arts have helped me a lot! As you may be aware, I have special needs! Due to that, I could neither communicate well, nor do well academically. If there was something I could do well, it was music. Music has changed my life. Now I want to use music as a way of connecting with people. If it helped me, it could help a lot of other people who went through difficulties.

Arts is not a waste of time. It is not useless. Arts are very essential to our lives. Yes, I may not get a wonderful job, but as long as it gives me happiness, and gives the best out of me, and at least getting some payment, what's the problem?

So my request is to please take the arts seriously. Don't treat the arts as useless thing. Don't think that it destroys education, because it doesn't!

To the education board, please don't ever think of cutting the arts. If you care about your student's education, then please consider the arts in your school. The arts bring out the best in everyone. Hope you understand.

4. Talk about the country life / city life.

In my opinion, the countryside is a beautiful place. I love it because it is qiuet and life here is very slow and easy. We never have to queue in shops and we can drive bikes on street comfortable(comfortably) because there’s much heavy traffic .In (the) countryside,people plant vegetables and raise cattle(by) themselves.So the food is(are) very fresh here. In addition, the air is clean.It makes us have a good healthy(health).
The people are friendly.Everyone know(knows) everyone and if someone has a problem,there are always people who can help.
But the countryside is too quiet.There’s no things to do.
It’s don’t(chỗ này sao có tobe hở bạn??) have any parks or movie theaters. And many people feel bored.
The city life is the opposite.There are any(some) places for entertainment.People can relax by going to the zoo, playing games… And children in the city have chance to learn more because the education is good.There are many kind of food here and they are delicious.But people are unfriendly and the city is noisy and plutted air.
Each place has some benefits anh limitations.
I live in the country. I like the life here. But I always want to live in the city because it is good for my future.

1. Talk about one of your close friend

My best friend is Lan. We have known each other since we were 10 years old. However we became best friends when we were at grade 3. At that time I was very bad at English and it was who helped me improve my English. Now she lives with her parents in Nguyen Trai street.

If I were to describe how she looks I would say she is very pretty. She has long black hair a straight nose and a small pointed chin. She is quite slim. She doesn t like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T - shirt. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humour but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice.

What I like about Lan is that she has same hobbies with me. We both enjoy singing karaoke reading comic books and going shopping. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can t agree on which movie to see. In addition since I am better in Maths and Chemistry and she is better in English and languages we can always help each other if we get confused about a difficult homework assignment. We are so lucky that we get along so well. I hope that our friendship can last long.

2. Describe your favorite room in your house

Having your own bedroom is not easy in a big family . I live in a small apartment consists of five rooms. So one of the best options is to stay with my younger cute sister . I’ll try to give a full description of my bed room . It is my favorite place .

I am a big fan of my bedroom because my mother let me do what I wanted with it . So I painted it purple and put up lots of pictures on the head of my bed . The ground is made of white marble and in the middle there is a purple rug with yellow and light purple flowers . My curtains are expensive . They are light purple . My wardrobe is big but it isn’t mirrored .
My bed is single with one pillow and two purple and navy pink cushions and there are two side table on each side of the bed . On them I put a picture of my parents and beautiful ornaments . My bed is covered with bright and shine duvets that Mach with my room color.
At the corner there is a big sofa . it’s my favorite place in my room where are I usually watch TV and compete with my younger sister with play station .

My dressing table next to my wardrobe. It’s full of my make up , perfumes , accessories and jewelry . On the top of my dressing table there are two white shelves . On them there are two big colored boxes .

On the corner of my desk , I put my laptop and my printer ., on the top of my disk , there are three boxes hanging on the wall . I put magazines and stories and the other one you can see amazing dolls , and the third one there is a box full of pens,pencils,and stationary .
