I consider the earth quake in 2011 was the most horrible and frightful in my life. A magnitude 5.5 earthquake centered off southern Vietnam in November 2001, killed one person after a plank loosened by the shaking fell on his head. Many houses were damaged, and several people were injured as they tried to escape from their homes, including some who jumped from balconies.Luckily, none of deaths. Some schools and office buildings damaged by the quake were closed for inspection. Dien Bien Phu was the site of a key victory by Vietnamese forces against French colonialist forces in 1954. After the quake, many residents of the town stayed on the streets all night and did not dare to go back into their houses until morning,People in the whole town could not sleep for fear of another quake. Earthquakes occur infrequently in VietnamThe quake was the worst to hit Vietnam in a decade. Damage from Vietnam earthquake estimated at $13 million.

The first step is to learn about the risks in your area and read the information about natural disasters on local government sites. Next, find out what the rescue and emergency workers advise. These people have been trained to deal with disasters, have been through lots of them and know how to help. Make sure you have all the emergency contact numbers entered in your mobile phone. It is also important that you put together an emergency supply kit. Your emergency supply kit should include food, water Medications, personal hygiene items, copies of personal documents and some money. You may also need some extra clothing if you live in a cold climate.

We are on Earth, a planet that has been inhabited for billions of years. So let me take a look at life on our home planet. From deserts to cities, creatures live everywhere. In the desert there are animals that have characteristics adapted to their life. The same goes for cold zone environments. The places with the most life are in the rainforest and in lowland and coastal areas. In the tropical forest, there are many diverse animals with different characteristics. And in the plains and coastal areas, that is the place where people live. We are currently leading a stable and mostly happy and good life. Each one has a different life, if you want, you can explore them all.
1. There are many natural disaters, floods are one of them. Floods cause tremendous havoc to human life and property but are sometimes also a blessing in disguise because they bring alluvial soil which is essential for crops. This is a great benefit compared io the havoc it creates. Floods are naurals calamities nad occur regularly in certain low lying area. The unexpected flood causes great misery. The rush of water demolishes houses and destroys homes. It inundates large areas under cultivation, wrecks public services and makes the life of the surviors miserable. Sometimes man is prepared for it and has learned to take advantage of floods to enrich their soil, trap fish and more logs of woods. Floods, however have always brought out the best in men. Men organise recus and relief activities for strangers without expectation of personalgain. Voluntary organisations organise relief camps and provide medical facilities. Floods bring out the best in men to the surface. People throughout the world make collections and airlift relief materials to the victims. The increasing incidence of floods can be reduced by contruction of damsand catchment areas. These activites can't be carried out by a single man, but can be achived only by thr Government as these require colossal resources, organisation and manpower. Every single man can contrinute to pevent foold by planting trees and preventing denudation of vegetable plots. Forestation is one of the best alternatives to arrest floods.

I often hear or read about “natural disasters” – the eruption of Mount St. Helen, a volcano in the
state of Washington; Hurricane Andrew in Florida; the floods in the American Midwest; terrible all over
the world; huge fires; and so on and so on. But I’ll never forget my first personal experience with the
strangeness of nature – “the London Killer Fog” of 1952. It began on Thursday, December 4, when a high
– pressure system (warm air) covered southern England. With the freezing – cold air below, heavy fog
formed. Pollution from factories, cars, and coal stoves mixed with the fog. The humidity was terrible high,
there was no breeze at all. Traffic (cars, trains, and boats) stopped. People couldn’t see, and some walked
onto the railroad tracks or into the river. It was hard to breathe, and many people got sick. Finally, on
Tuesday, December 9, the wind came and the fog went away. But after that, even more people got sick.
Many of them died.
