You may use the telephone every day but how much you know about it. Alexander Bell invented the first telephone in 1876. Bell was born in Scotland in 1847 but later he decided to emigrate to America and taught in a school for the deaf-mutes . Bell was interested in sound , so he wanted to be able to send sound through a wire . He did many experiments with his assistant , Thomas Watson . Bell finally succeeded . He invented the first telephone . Later other inventions made better ones but the way the telephone works is still the same

The invention of the phonograph happened quite by accident . Thomas Edison moved to Menlo Park, New Jersy in 1876, where he established an industrial research laboratory . There, Edison was working on a carbon telephone transmitter to improve the exosting Bell telephone system

In that laboratory a year later, Edison invented the phonograph while he was trying to improve a telegraph repeater . He attached a telephone diaphragm to the needle in thetelegraph repeater ; in this way , he was able to reproduce a recording that could be played back. After he made some improvements to the machine, he tested it . He recited ‘‘Mary had a little lamb’’ into the machine and played his voice back to a very surprised audience

The invention of the phonograph happened quite by accident. Thomas Edison moved to Menlo Park, New Jersy in 1876, where he established an industrial research laboratory. There, Edison was working on a carbon telephone transmitter to improve the existing Bell telephone system.
In that laboratory a year later, Edison invented the phonograph while he was trying to
improve a telegraph repeater. He attached a telephone diaphragm to the needle in the telegraph
repeater; in this way, he was able to reproduce a recording that could be played back. After he made some improvements to the machine, he tested it. He recited “Mary Had a Little Lamb” into the machine and played his voice back to a very surprised audience.

Thomas Edison was born in Milan, Ohio,on 1847. His family moved to Port Huron, Michigan, when he was seven years old. Surprisingly, he attended school for only two months.His mother, a former teacher, taught him a few things, but Thomas was mostly self-educated. His natural curiosity led him to start experimenting at ayoung age.
Thomas Edison lit up the world with his invention of the electric light. Although The electric light was the most useful, it was not his only invention. He also invented the record player, the motion picture camera. and over 1,200 other things. About every two weeks he created something new.He worked 16 out of every 24 hours. Sometimes he worked so intensely that his wife had to remind him to sleep eat.
Thomas Edison died in 1931, in West Orange, New Jersey. He left numerous inventions that improved quality of life all over the world
