Since childhood, I have participated in many interesting and impressive festivals. But the festival that makes me most excited is the Cau Ngu festival.

The Cau Ngu festival is prepared with great care and sophistication, showing the respect and concern of the people here. On the day of the festival, many people and tourists come to see and participate. Cau Ngu festival starts taking place early in the morning, with Nghinh Ong ritual. The main activity of this ritual is the procession of Ong Nam Hai's palanquin to the sea to board the dragon boat to go out to sea. Those chosen to carry the palanquin are carefully selected, must be healthy young men. Along the way, people stand in rows, offer offerings and smoke incense. Going to the beach, there will be fifteen boats arranged in a V-shape facing the sea, each boat prepares a decent offering. The group of boats will go to Lang Ong, in front of the mausoleum there is a very bustling lion dance group to welcome.

In addition, Cau Ngu festival also has an activity that many people enjoy, which is the ordination ceremony. The ceremony consists of two processes, one from the North, one from the South, moving towards Lang Ong. Leading the group is the lion, monk, and dragon dance team with sounds and beautiful dances. Behind, are large boat models, decorated with eye-catching and sophisticated decorations. The boat was carrying several fishermen who simulated how to row a boat. In particular, the model of that boat is moved by more than twenty young men carrying it at the bottom. That's very wonderful.

Coming to Cau Ngu festival, I can admire meaningful activities, participate in the flow of people eagerly watching the festival. I hope that festivals like these will be preserved and maintained forever.

Hồ Chí Minh City is in the south of Việt Nam. It's got a population of about 9,000,000 in 2019. It's very modern and the people are really friendly. There are many good amusement parks, shopping malls and buildings here. Vũng Tàu, Phan Thiết and Đà Lạt are some quite nice places not far from Hồ Chí Minh City. I sometimes visit these cities for holidays, but Hồ Chí Minh City is more interesting.

1. Hanoi is very crowded and it has to face a lot of trafic problems. There are too many people using the roads. All types of vehicles are on the roads. It's very dangerous if you are not familiar with transportation here. There are some roads which are narrow and swampy when there is heavy ram. Moreover, some young people drive on the road dangerously. They don't respect the traffic rules strictly and they even play on the street with their motors.

2. I like watching films in my free time and one of my favourite films is Taken 2. It an action film but it is moving , too. It stars Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace. The film is about Bryan Mills . He works for CIA. One day, he and his family travel to Turkey. He doesn't know that some criminals want to takerevenge his family. He fights the criminals and does his best to save hiswife and daughter. The plot makes people so thrill and the acting is so wonderful. Crictics say it is a must-see , especially for people who like action film. I like this film because it combines an action film and moving film. Go and see it if you can.

1.Traffic jams in Vietnam only frequently take place in Hanoi capital and Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnamese people seem be accustomed to traffic congestion, even miss it whenever they go to other places.

There is no fixed rule for the time the traffic jams to happen but it is worst during the rush hour when everyone is in a hurry to get to work or come back home. Apart from peak hours, the time between 9 am to 10 am and between 3 pm to 4 pm also witnesses long lines of vehicles, mainly motorbikes, struggling to get out of narrow streets. Whenever it rains, the traffic jam gets more terrible with the joining hand of flooding. Taxis are extremely hard to catch or wave during the downpour. However, it only takes about 30 minutes on average for a standstill and 2 hours to get through the worst, not really bad compared to that of other countries.

While the rapid increase in car use coupled with the deterioration of roads caused by disordered planning make the matter worse, the most annoying thing about the traffic jam is the way people react when being stuck at the congestion. Most road users ride their motorbikes on the pavement rather than waiting calmly, or they constantly use their horns to hasten riders in the front, even shouting at them from time to time. More luckily, bicyclists can leisurely carry their “war- horses” on their backs and thread their way through messy matrixes.

The congestion is not anathema to all people and in all cases. One of the redeeming features of the traffic jams is that it is often regarded as a last resort for Vietnamese when all explanations for being late seem unreasonable. It is also used as a familiar topic to strike up a conversation, like weather-related matters. So take advantage of it! And the truth is that winters would be cooler and sadder without traffic jams.

Today I’m going to tell you about the xoe dance, a traditional dance of the Thai ethnic group in VietNam. Thai people have followed this spiritual tradition for generations.

The xoe dance expresses people’s working life and wishes for a happy and wealthy life. It is performed in both public and private gatherings such as celebrations, festivals or family reunions.

The xoe dance has more than 30 forms based on the first six ancient forms. The most popular form is the xoe vong or ‘circle dance’ because it expresses social unity. People, young or old alike, join hands to make a circle around the fire and dance to the music. Besides the circle dance, there are dances with conical hats, paper fans or scarves.

Old people say they shouldn’t break with this tradition because it reflects Thai culture and lifestyle. As a Thai folk song goes, without the xoe dance, the rice won’t grow and people won’t get married.

Dear An

We’re having a good time here in Ho Chi Minh City, but the weather isn’t very nice. It rained almost every day, many streets were flooded. So I limited to go out. And there were too many traffic jams. There are many vehicles at rush hours and traffic jams occur frequently. It was more terrible when it rained heavily. However I also had great time when visiting some places. I went camping in Suoi Tien Park, I swam shallow in the artificial sea. If you went the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace, you would see a lot of physical reminders of the past. My feeling is very great and very difficult to describe. My period in Ho Chi Minh City was short and because of objective reasons, so I only visited those places. Tell you something, when I come back, we talk to each other more.

Yours sincerely,

Vy

Dear Minh !

How are you doing? I'm writing to you from Kołobrzeg at the Polish Seaside. I'm there with my family. We have a great time, though the weather isn't so good, as we'd like. Therefore we spent our first day on a campside, where we are staying. Yesterday morning we climbed up to the lighthouse and the view were really great. And in the afternoon we went to the beach, where we were sunbathing and we were having a bath in the Sea. Tomorrow we're taking a treepboat on the lake next to our campside and in the evening we are going shoping and then eating ice-cream. On Saturday we're buying some suvenires and on Sunday we're coming back home. Anyway, I'll tell you everything, when you will arrive to me next week. Hope to see you! Bye for now!

Best wishes

When it comes to a place that is the most popular building in my hometown, the first one coming to my mind is The provincial Library. When I was in high school, I often visited there twice a week to read books and find documents.

This library is located in the heart of the city and takes me more than half-a-hour-driving from my house. This construction stands out from all the buildings in my hometown due to 2 reasons. One thing is that It’s a concrete building with a spectacular mix of French and Vietnamese architecture. The external and surroundings of this place is such a picturesque setting that It easily becomes the favorite spot for students to take a photo yearbook before graduating. The other is that It has all the mod-cons. All the conveniences you might expect in a nice place to concentrate on studying, specifically, computers, printer, copy machine, . . . are all in there. The library has up to 10 floors, and each floor has different sections to provide a good stock of books in any genre.

When I go to the library I feel like I am leaving a lot of my worries and cares behind, even if I have to go there to research or study. It was such a must- visit destination. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends if they travel to my hometown. And I hope I'll have a chance to come back sooner or later to immerse myself in that world again. That's all I want to say.
