Lunar New Year or Tet is a traditional festival in Viet Nam. It's the biggest festival in Vietnam. It is held in late January and early February. It's the time when family members reunite and celebrate the occasion together. Tet's preparation lasts many weeks. One or Two dáy before Tet, people make chung cake and Tet cake. Every one is busy buying new clothes, cleaning and decorating their houses and cooking some trditional food such as: jam, picked onion, gio, spring roll, frozen meet,..., Home is often decorated with plants and flowers at this time. Peach blossom is traditional at Tet in the north.While apricot blossom is traditional in the South. Besides, the kumquat tree with its ripe deep orange fruits is popular throughout the country. On the last of the year, preparation for new year is completed. Families have a New Year's Eve supper together and expect the New year's eve. At the mid-night, everyone performs ritusl offering to the ancestor on the New Year's Eve. People believe that what they do on the first day of the year will influence their luckiness during the whole year. On the first day of the year , people visit relatives, friends. neighbors,.... On contrary, in the first morning of the year, everything seems peaceful and quiet as people want to sleep longer to enjoy the moment with their cozy family. However, there are some families getting up early to come back to their hometown to visit their ancestors' graves and relatives. From noon on, everybody go to their neighbors' houses to wish them a happy new year. Children in new clothes are very excited, as they will get lucky money from adults.

There are many activities to welcome new coming spring in this occasion. Children usually take up pens to write their first essay, hoping for good results in school. And not just the house, they want to keep their body clean. That’s why they will have a bath the night before new year. People use Tet holiday as an occasion to visit others, too. That makes Tet the gathering time. Family stay together, friends meet each other. But they often try not to come to others’ house on the first day of a new year, it means trying not to become the first visitor of a year. Because they believe if their Chinese zodiac does not match the house owner’s, it will bring bad luck for the whole year. People also invite an acquaintance who has suitable zodiac to come over their place. On the second and third day, people feel free to visit everyone, wish them luck and health, bring some gifts decorated with red and yellow and give children – if there is some – lucky money. Tet is a good holiday. No one can escape from it. It drags people out of their routine life, brings those who is far away back home.

Hi ! I'm a student in grade 6 of Le hong phong secondary school . It't located on PNL street .It's small but it's beautiful and clean with some big trees in the schoolyard .

There are about 750 students in my school . We wear uniform everyday. At school we have a lot of subject such as : Maths , Literature , English , History , Music , etc . My favourite subject is English . At break time , I often play football or read comics. After school , I help my parents do the housework . I love my school so much .

1. Last Tet, we spent time on visiting our relatives, friends, colleagues and go to pagodas or temples to pray health, happiness ans success for our families. When coming others’ houses or meeting anybody at Tet, we usually wished each other health, happiness and success and many good things. Children were the happiest at Tet. They were usually received presents, especially little red envelopes with money in as New Year’s Wishes, which people believe that will bring good things to children in the new year.

People usually say “the First Day is Father’s Tet, the Second Day is Mother’s Tet and the Third Day is Teacher’s Tet”. On the First Day morning, after finishing what we had to do in our houses, we went to our parents' house to give New Year’s greeting. People who were married managed to visit their parents on the husband’s side on the First Day, and then their parents on the wife’s side on the next day. I spent the Third Day to visit my teachers. Tet was the time to hold get-together parties.

2. Whether living in the city gives many facilities to our life or not is a controversial issue. Many people think that living in the countryside is always their best selection because it helps them to enjoy a truly peaceful life. However, in my point of view living in the city actually gives many best conditions of our life nowadays because it not only helps to improve our life quality clearly but also makes many good working opportunities to everybody.
First of all, living in the city helps to improve our life quality clearly. You know, I myself have been living at the large city for more ten years, so I can realize precisely that there are many advantages when anybody comes and works there. You have many good chances to study in celebrated high schools and the leading universities in the city nation. This helps you prepare all of the best things about your major for your future jobs. Furthermore, living in the city you will be taken care with the best conditions in national hospitals whenever you are sick or tired. Besides, you always feel relaxed and funny with many entertainment centers and services after ending hard working days at your company.
In addition to helping to improve our life quality remarkably, living in the city also makes many good working opportunities to everybody. Exactly, I mean that most large companies, famous firms and government offices are always in the capital or the big city. Annually, they need to recruit many excellent businessmen, engineers and skilled workers. As a result, this increases good chances for many students who have just graduated and want to work. So, everybody living in the city can earn money for their family’s daily expense more easily than those in the countryside.
In summary, looking at what was discussed above I believe that living in the city is actually a good condition to everybody’s life because it not only helps to improve our life quality better but also increases many working opportunities to everybody.

Last Tet holiday, I go to shopping with my mother. We buy peach blossoms and apricat blossoms.I don't learn. In the house, my family decorates my house because it's dirty and the people welcome Tet holiday. In the evening, my family gather together. We start buy  calendar. We often go to a pagoda for good luck.
