1. Which festival do you like best? -> The festival I like best is Tet festival. 2. When is it held? ->It's held in January Lunar every year. 3. Where is it held?--> ->It's held throughout Vietnam 4. What do the people do before Tet? -Before Tet people decorate houses, go to the supermarket / market to buy fruits, cakes, sweets ect. -Besides most streets are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. 5. What do the people do during Tet? People go to the pagoda to light incense (thắp hương: lay in sen s) and pray lucky wishes and prosperity [prs'sperati] (pơ ró sờ pé rơ tỉ) (sự thịnh vượng) They visit grandparents, relatives, friends, teachers....... 6. Why do like it? I love Tet because I can hang out with my friends and relatives comfortably.             Lunar New Year is one of the festivals celebrated in some Asian countries. It is the greatest Vietnamese festival. It is called Tet in Viet Nam. It usually takes place between the end of January and the beginning of February.

            Celebrations begin with the family reunion dinner which is held on the New Year’s Eve. Every member of the family is eager to attend this family feast (bữa tiệc). The feast usually consists of Banh Chung or Banh Tet, spring rolls, chicken and some other special food.

            The children usually wear new clothes and go with their parents to visit their grandparents and relatives. The children say “Happy New Year” to all the people they visit and are often given lucky money in red envelopes. They are very happy.
