Hello everyone, today I will talk about Mars, the 4th planet in our solar system. The name of Mars originally comes from the name of the Roman god of war and agriculture. It may not seem like these two things go together, but they do. Mars protected those who fought for their communities and stayed home to raise crops for food. Mars has two natural satellites, and their names are Phobos and Deimos. With a radius of 2,106 miles (3,390 kilometers), Mars is about half the size of Earth. The atmosphere of Mars is much thinner than Earth's. It contains more than 95% carbon dioxide and much less than 1% oxygen. Mar's temperatures are from -151°C to 20°C. Mars is colder than Earth. If you were to stand on the surface of Mars on the equator at noon, it would feel like spring at your feet and winter at your head. Mar's surface is rocky, with canyons, volcanoes, dry lake beds and craters all over it. It's called Red Planet because iron minerals in the Martian soil oxidize, or rust, causing the soil and atmosphere to look red. One day on Mars takes a little over 24 hours. In my life,i have a lot of hobbies,but on of them i like most is listening to music.I started 2 years ago.I usually listen to music when i have free time.I surf the Internet listen to zingmp3.I usually share this hobby with my mother and my friends.To do this hobby we usually exchange the CDs or gather to talk about favourite singers.I feel very happy and wonderful when listening to music.I will continue it in the future

People say that book is the endless source of knowledge, and luckily my favorite activity in my free time is reading books. I can spend hours reading about a thrilling adventure, a remarkable discovery, or a magical journey. I find those details become more and more realistic when I am deep in to them, and I can experience another fascinating world. Among many books that I have read, my favorite series is Harry Potter. The story is about a little wizard with his great journey to destroy the dark force. I have been reading books since I was a kid; therefore I have a rich imagination and plenty of ideas about almost everything. Everyone has his or her own hobby, and I am glad that I spend my free time and my mind on something that is very helpful.

My hobby is doing shopping, and I think it is a little bit costly. I do not have enough time and money to serve my love for shopping, so I can only spend my weekend wandering at the malls. I like looking around the stores and their variety kinds of goods. There are so many colorful things that catch my eyes, such as clothes, shoes, accessories, toys, and other stuffs. Usually I do not by a lot of things; I just remember their brand names and then wait for them to be put on the sale-off section. I have a huge amount of flyers about promoting program at many different malls and stores. It is my other little hobby to collect them, and maybe someday I can have an exhibition about my flyer collection. I have a friend that shares the same love with shopping, and we usually spend our weekend together lingering to look at the stores. My family and friends also ask me to by stuffs for them, because they know I can choose the good ones with reasonable price. I enjoy shopping a lot, and sometimes I am glad that I can help other people with my little hobby.

I have a silent hobby, and it is listening to music. Except for the time in class, I put on headphones in most of occasions. I listen to music on break time, while I am on the bus, when I am doing my homework; and I only take them off when somebody seems to talk to me. I like many different kinds of music, from pop to country, ballad, and classical. Each song and melody brings a unique meaning and feeling. My mood changes according to which songs is being played, pop songs bring happiness and joy, rock songs bring excitement, and country songs bring peace to my soul. People consider I am an introversive and quiet person, because I am always on my headphone. My mother tells me to have more interaction with my friends, but actually I have a lot of friends that share the same hobby. Sometimes we gather together to exchange information about singers, songs, and their photographs. It is great that my hobby does not bother anyone, and I can have more friends to enjoy it with me.
