Residents near the sea coast also need to have preparation as the sea level may raise higher than usual with strong waves.

In basketball you need both stamina and speed to be a successful player. It’s not that important if you’re not tall. Your strength is of much more importance.  Both feet and hands must be strong. Even you need to be wise in this game. If you know where to stand so that your rival has a weak chance of blocking you, you’ll more successfully get close to the basket to shoot and score. Sometimes, by being wise and finding the right place to stand and block the rival saves your team.

Basketball is a team work and this is what I the most about this sport. You learn how to cooperate with other team mates. Sometimes, you need to sacrifice yourself by blocking the rival so that your team mate can find space to go to the basket and score. Passing the ball to other members of your team makes the chance of winning higher and higher.

All in all, basketball is so enjoyable and fun if you play it in a group, not individually.

Leisure time has become a crucial part of the modern life as this is the period for the recovery of the human body. Yet, the best way to use spare time still has to be determined as some people are interested in mind-improving activities while others simply wish to rest.

It is not surprising that a high number of people engage in activities that involve the mind. One of the reasons is that activities such as reading books or playing puzzles is helpful for them. For example, people can apply knowledge obtained from novels, especially detective novels, into the reality as these books not only entertain but also teach people to solve difficult situations. Another explanation for this trend could be that it helps people to escape from the boredom stemming from daily routines. The excitement and feeling of victory are indeed very useful in recharging the energy people need for work and life in general.

However, there also exist individuals who prefer a complete rest during leisure time. Perhaps the most obvious reason is that their minds are already heavily occupied during occupation, and thus, there is little energy left for highly intellectual activities. In fact, these activities could be harmful as people can surfer from stress and exhaustion. As a consequence, mind-challenging activities can result in reduced work performance and also quality of life. For these people, light activities such as listening to music or watching films could be a better choice.

To summarize, I am strongly convinced that the selection of activities during leisure time should depend on people’s own preferences and needs. Mind-improving activities and quiet resting are both useful in their own ways, and people should choose the kinds of activity that can help them relax the most.

Hanoi, the beloved capital, where I was born and raised. Hanoi has many beautiful landscapes but my favorite is West Lake. It is a place where I and many tourists come here are amazed. Dawn to the sun shines down on the sea like a beautiful, pink coat. Each passing breeze shook the willow trees. The surface of the lake is also agitated. The ripples rushed ashore as if playing the drowned game. Noon, the lake surface was sparkling, clear, green. Des Moines is the capital of Iowa. Life here is upbeat but not too busy. Everyone that is born and raised in Iowa is very relaxed and kind. We love to say hi and help one another and we love cars. Generally, traffic is pretty good. We don't have a lot of traffic jams. However, during rush hours, you cannot move an inch on the interstate because everyone is trying to get on and off. This usually creates chaos and a huge traffic jam. In Des Moines, we have all kinds of jobs, from white to blue-collar jobs. Inside downtown, we usually have white-collar jobs. The father away from downtown, the more blue-collar jobs we have. Due to the huge population of immigrants, the city of Des Moines is also very diverse. This diversion births a hub of mulultural foods. Driving down Douglas Ave, you can see different kinds of foods from many cultures, such as Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, Hispanic, American, Indian, Burmese, etc. One day you can have Chinese, the next day Indian. In Iowa, Des Moines is the most diverse and busiest city. It houses many families from many different countries and still able to keep American culture and values. 

After the stressful hours at school, some of the spare time at the end of the day is the time I spend to do what I . Usually I would choose to listen to music, when I am in sad moods I hear soft ballads. In happy times I listen to Pop music in order to dance to the catchy tunes. When I have to deal with stressful issues, I listen to classical music to ease my nerve. Besides listening to music, reading and writing are some of the things that I love to do every time I have free time. I do not limit the genres of stories that I choose read, I can read from comics, horror to science fiction as long as I find it interesting. Thanks to reading a lot of books, my writing skills have improved a lot, and my vocabulary has also become richer. Whenever I have ideas, I often turn my thoughts into stories. I write about a lot of things, from the realis life around me, the additional details in my favorite books to what I imagine. At first I wrote stories only for some of my close friends to read, but they suggested that I should post them on the websites so people could read and leave comments. Those compliments and comments made me feel very happy and proud of myself. I sometimes go out with my friends, and we to go to many beautiful places to take pictures. We also love to go to the cinema together to watch the latest films, and then we go shopping or eat together. Those relaxing times add energy so I can start my other work efficiently. It is so great that I can do whatever I want, as long as I do not bother anyone.

During a week with a lot of different work, yesterday was a busy day for me. Since it was Friday, I had to finish all the work quickly so that I would have plenty of free time for my hobbies at the weekend. I spend every weekend to meet my family and friends. We usually go to the cinema or go to coffee shops together, and we always talk about happy stories to relieve the stress of a whole week. If we cannot arrange any appointment for some reason, I will spend most of my free time watching Hong Kong or Korean movies on my laptop. I always prepare a lot of snacks popcorn, candy, fries and carbonated water to make me feel I'm watching a movie in the theater. My mother always complains that those junk foods are not good for me, but I think it is not a big deal since I only eat that for once a week. After staying up late to watch the movies, I will take a very sleep, and I only wake up if the time is in the middle of the day. The other thing that I to do in my free time is swimming, and I often go with my sister to keep her body healthy. I to go to the beach, so I imagine myself floundering in the vast ocean every time I dive into the pool. Swimming also helps me feel relaxed and release my stressful thoughts, so I always try to go swimming at least once a week. I have to study a lot of subjects, and weekend is almost my only free time. Therefore, I am very happy every time Saturday is coming around the corner, and my favorite activities always make me be more energe for the next week.

Sau khi thức thật khuya để xem phim, tôi sẽ ngủ một giấc dài và chỉ thức dậy vào lúc giữ trưa. Một điều khác mà tôi thích làm vào thời gian rảnh là bơi lội, và tôi thường rủ theo em gái mình đi bơi để cơ thể được khỏe mạnh. Tôi rất thích đi biển, vậy nên tôi hay tưởng tượng mình đang vùng vẫy trong đại dương mênh mông mỗi khi tôi lặn xuống bể bơi. Việc bơi lội cũng giúp tôi cảm thấy thư giãn và giải tỏa được những suy nghĩ căng thẳng, vậy nên tôi luôn cố gắng đi bơi ít nhất một tuần một lần.
