Even so, many households in big cities buy the Christmas tree and hang lights and small bells upon it. Children also love Christmas day so much. They prepare clean stocks for receiving the presents from the Santa Claus. How about the celebration? On Christmas Eve, people often sing Christmas Carol, meet friends, relatives to make a wish for them.

Some people often impersonate Santa Claus and give present to everyone. All Christians go to church on this day. In England and Australia, people often make Christmas cake - a traditional food made for Christmas day.

There are several holidays held in a year. It is Christmas holiday that is interesting. Christmas occurs on 24 and 25^th December but it starts from the beginning of the month. During Christmas, people are more friendly and gentle with each other because they believe to have a happier life without sorrow. I enjoy decorating Christmas tree and walk around the streets looking at the buildings and the trees around the city such as in squares and parks, shops and offices. Especially, there is always a big tree at city’s center, in which people gather and pray together in Christmas night. All the city is decorated with color and lights; therefore, it is a chance for citizens go out, take many beautiful photos and transfer to each other. We take part in several interesting activities creating snowman, playing in snow, making homemade candy or cake, cleaning house. The snow is a symbol of Christmas. To me, it is a symbol of renewal and cleanliness of the upcoming event. Besides, the children enjoy receiving presents, which are put at the tree by Santa Clause. They believe he brings obedient kid joy, good health and hope for a new year. Actually, the gifts are prepared by parents or relatives in order to encourage them study and well behave with other. The tradition of giving presents originates from the old days and it becomes one of features of Christmas holiday. Christmas reinforces the belief of one’s soul and heals all sadness and dissatisfaction. In my opinion, it is essential to continue this holiday because of its beneficial role in culture of one country.

Sáng hôm ấy, chúng em ai cũng đến trường thật sớm với tâm trạng hào hứng và phấn khởi. Đến nơi, ai cũng bất ngờ bởi vẻ đẹp của ngôi trường. Những dãy cờ đỏ tươi dẫn đến sân khấu chính giữa. Ở đó, một tấm bạt lớn in dòng chữ Lễ kỉ niệm ngày nhà giáo Việt Nam 20-11 được in thật to và nổi bật. Xung quanh là rất nhiều những lẵng hoa tươi thắm. Trên sân, ngoài các thầy cô và học sinh, thì có rất nhiều cựu học sinh trở về thăm thầy cô giáo cũ của mình.

Đúng 8 giờ sáng, sự kiện chính thức bắt đầu. Chúng em ngồi thành từng hành dọc thẳng phía dưới sân khấu. Còn hai bên thì là các thầy cô và khách mời của sự kiện. Mở đầu là lời chào và chúc mừng sự kiện của thầy hiệu trưởng. Sau đó, từng thầy cô, đại diện hội phụ huynh, đại diện nhóm cựu học sinh và học sinh các khối lần lượt lên phát biểu. Ai cũng rưng rưng xúc động khi được nói lời tri ân sâu sắc đến người cha, người mẹ thứ hai của mình. Cùng với đó, là những tiết mục văn nghệ sôi động, hấp dẫn do các thầy cô và chúng em biểu diễn. Tiết mục nào cũng hay và ý nghĩa, nhưng nổi bật nhất là tiết mục múa hát Người giáo viên nhân dân của thầy cô ở cuối chương trình.
