My family is a small one with only three members: my mother, my brother, and I. Tet, also known as Lunar new year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days. They clean their house and decorate with flowers such as kumquat tree or peach blossom. A huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes. Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha, Xoi and Mut, and candies are the foods that must have on Tet holidays. During Tet, people visit their relatives’ homes and give wishes. However, the Vietnamese believe that the first visitor a family receives in the year determines their fortune for the entire year, people never enter any house on the first day without being invited first. Another custom is giving lucky money, which is put into a red envelope as a symbol of luck and wish for a new age. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, people can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors. Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success. To Vietnamese, Tet is the happiest time of all year around, members in a family can gather together, which is a meaningful messages of Lunar New year festival. All in all, Tet is all about back to origins, be good to others, enjoy the precious moment, and wish for the best to come.

Traditional Tet is one of the most important festivals of Vietnam. Just like in Western countries that follow Christianity, Christmas is a sacred and important holiday, so is the traditional New Year's Day. Traditional New Year's Day is called Lunar New Year or Lunar New Year, and is considered the most important moment of a year. The time starts on the 1st day of the 1st lunar month of the new year. The Lunar New Year usually falls between the end of January and the middle of February of a calendar year. Normally in Vietnam, every occasion to prepare for the Lunar New Year, everyone, whether working or going to school, has a holiday schedule. Normally, the time off is from one working week or more (for employees) and two to three days before December 30. To prepare for the important Tet holiday of this year, every family often buys a lot of new things, cleans the house, prepares a tray of rice to worship ancestors. And yet, on the traditional New Year's Day, there is also a custom to visit the elderly, family members, friends and neighbors every time Tet comes. At that time, homeowners or adults will give lucky money to children and elders with wishes at the beginning of the new year of peace, prosperity, and everything as desired. This is not only a custom but also a cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people, to show concern and hope for a full and peaceful life for everyone.

She is 95 years old, and next 5 years, we will organize the 100th longevity wishing ceremony, and I look forward to taking part in this ceremony. Besides, another woman who I love so much is my sister. Her name is Linh. She is 26 years old, and she is a beautiful woman Mom. Now, she is living in Ha Noi capital, because of her jobs. I really love my family, and I hope that we are always together anyway.

I come from a nuclear family which consists of 4 members. There are my parents, my older brother and me. My dad is forty-five years old and he is a great doctor. He leaves home at 7 in the morning and only comes back home when it is11pm. There are many days when he has to work overnight and that makes him exhausted.

My dad is hard-working and responsible. He always put patients in the first place. Meanwhile, my mother is a lawyer. She is even busier than my father. She often has to go on business and spend little time at home. Although they are successful and busy, they still care for us. They teach us and attend every meeting and events at our school.

No matter how tired they are, my parents sometimes take us to travel and discover new cities. My older brother is 25. He works as a postgraduate. He is handsome, manly and very attractive. He loves science fiction books and philosophy books. I adore him very much. My family is happy. I love them very much and I want us to live together under the same roof for the rest of my life.

Dù mệt ra sao, bố mẹ tôi vẫn thỉnh thoảng đưa chúng tôi du lịch và khám phá các thành phố mới. Anh trai tôi đã 25 tuổi. Anh ấy làm việc như một nghiên cứu sinh. Anh ấy rất đẹp trai, nam tính và rất thu hút. Anh ấy thích những cuốn sách khoa học viễn tưởng và sách viết về triết lý sống. Tôi rất yêu quý anh. Gia đình tôi rất hạnh phúc. Tôi yêu họ rất nhiều và tôi muốn gia đình tôi cùng sống với nhau chung dưới một mái nhà trong suốt phần đời còn lại của mình.

Everyone in my family is very busy. The time everyone can see each other is at meals. Therefore, my mother always carefully prepared the meal. I often help mom with cooking in my spare time. After we set the food on the table, I called my dad and brother  to eat. We will wish everyone a delicious meal. My dad will tell us about interesting things when he goes to work. My mother often talks about the things she just bought. My brother and I laughed happily too. Because my dad works so hard, he can eat a lot. I love the food my mom cooks. I hope I can cook as well as my mother. After eating, she will prepare me and my brother with fresh milk. I don’t drinking milk very much but my mom said it would be good for me. My family’s meals are simple but always full of laughter. I love my family.
