My best friend is my classmate at school. She and I have been studying together since we entered school in kindergarten. We have studied together all these years. We also travel by the school bus together because we stay close to each other. Her home is only a ten minute walk from my place.

My friend is kindly and sweet-natured. We are always happy to be with each other. We enjoy studying, playing and eating together. If I am sad she will do all she can to make me smile and feel happy.

She has always been kind and helpful to me. When I miss school because I am unwell she comes to my place to share with me all that has been done at school. When she misses school I too help her with all that has been covered at school. We also play badminton together in the evenings.

My bedroom is the most comfortable place in my house. It becomes my favorite room since I lived in this house five years ago. Actually it is not too large, the width is just 4 x 4 meters, but it is clean enough. It looks like a small cottage with a bed placed in the corner of this room. The color of the bed cover is pink, so soft and calm. On this bed, there are a pillow, a bolster, and 15 cute dolls that always accompany me when I am sleeping. If you enter to my bedroom, you can see a table and a chair next to the bed as my place for study. You can feel the wind blowing from a big window that always make my room cosy and bright near the bed. You can also see a beautiful garden that is full of wonderful flowers from this window. It can change your bad mood to become more cheerful. At the opposite of the window, there is a large cupboard with Bali’s carving. The carving is so smooth and gorgeous. It looks like a carving in the great temple. If you see around my bedroom, you will find a colorful wall. It is combination of attractive colors like pink, violet and blue. The colors are mixed perfectly and it shows the girlie room. It is also completed with some artificial flowers near the window that decorate my room beautifully. I like to spend my time in this room. For me my bedroom is my little palace.

My school is ten kilometers away from my home, and I go by the school bus every morning. I love to go to school. I learn so many new things at school every day. There are many different subjects I study at school. I study languages like Sanskrit, Hindi and English, and other subjects like mathematics, science and social studies.

My school is very beautiful. There are nice, lush gardens with beautiful plants and trees. In spring time the blooming flowers are a spectacle. My school has a well equipped library, and I enjoy reading books. There are also computers in the school for our use.

I love my school and my teachers. My teachers are very caring. They teach us with a great deal of patience, and they want us to become good and responsible human beings. I want to make my school and my teachers proud of me.

Every room in my house is just enough for our activities, so we do not have much space for the living room. However, we try our best to decorate it because it is where the whole family gathers after a long day staying outside. We lay down a thick rug on the floor, it both helps to decorate and keep the floor safe from the scratches. To save some space, we put the TV and the loud speakers on the wall. The Play Station, DVD player and other electronic devices are put in a small cabinet in the corner of the room, and we only take them out whenever we want to play something. In the middle of the room is a glass table, we put on the surface a bottle of fresh water and some cups so everyone can have a quick drink before leaving or after coming back to the house. Behind the table is a big white couch, and it can be considered as the biggest thing in the living room. My mother loves the pastel tone, so the walls are painted in cream color; and they all go very well with the couch. We do not have any window there, so we install an air conditioner to keep the atmosphere cool. We hang some pictures of landscape as well as painting on the walls to make the room livelier. There are also a pot of a small plant in the corner of the room, so we can get some fresh air from it. Every night, we would gather to watch TV or sing karaoke, and it is my favorite time of the day. On the table are a big flower vase and a set of tea pot and cups, which is used to serve the best tea to our guests. There is a big window behind the couch, and it gives the room plenty sources of light. The curtains are in light green color, and go very well with the dark green paint of the walls. On the walls are some of our family pictures as well as some pieces of my grandfather’s calligraphy. He has the ability to write Chinese and Vietnamese words in a very beautiful way, so we frame some of his works and put them on the walls. It can be said that the living room represent the whole family, so we always try to take a very good care of it.

When finding somewhere to escape from the hustle and bustle of life, my bedroom is always an ideal place. My bedroom is on the second floor. It is not exactly a large room but it is spacious enough to become my private world. It is a fully-furnished room with a single bed on the left and a wardrobe on the right corner. And there stands a wood table with a shelf that contains many interesting books and is decorated with lots of souvenirs and birthday gifts on the left corner. With two small windows on the two sides of the room, I use bright color tone for the wall to make my bedroom airier and warmer. My childhood memories is coupled with every corner of the room. In my deep thoughts, it is not only a place where greets me after strained long hours at work, brings me sweet dreams but also a friend that witnesses maturity in every step of my daily life.
