Nguyen Hong Son was a very famous soccer player in Vietnam in the 1990s.

He was born in 1970 in Ha Noi. He played for Vietnam's nationl team. He won the Vietnamese Golden Ball prize in 1998 and 2001. He was the best soccer player in Asia in August, 1998. In the Pepsi World Challenge in 1999, Nguyen Hong Son won second place above David Beckham. Many Vietnanese soccer fans like Nguyen Hong Son.
