To maintain your weight the calculation is simple: burn the same amount of calories through activity that you take in from food. Likewise, to lose weight, you must burn MORE calories than you take in from food. One pound equals 3500 calories, so that means if you want to lose 1 pound per week then you’re going to have to burn 500 calories per day. To maintain some sanity and not feel too deprived from food, I suggest slashing 250 calories from your diet and burning 250 calories through exercise, in order to get the 500 calorie deficit you need. It’s actually not that difficult either when you think about how many calories we burn through everyday activities. As I always say, the trick is to just move around more. You’d be surprised how the calories add up.

I’ve come up with a list of typical things we do every day and the amount of calories we burn doing them. All calculations are based on a 130 pound woman.

* Brushing Teeth (2 minutes) – 4 calories
* Sleeping (7 hours) – 382 calories
* Writing (20 minutes) – 10 calories
* Standing (10 minutes) – 11 calories
* Walking up stairs (3 minutes) – 15 calories
* Reading (20 minutes) – 20 calories
* Studying (30 minutes) – 54 calories (interesting that it’s more than simply reading…)
* Foreplay (15 minutes) – 21 calories
* ***** (10 minutes) – 41 calories (added bonus!!)
* Putting away groceries (10 minutes) – 26 calories
* Sitting/resting (30 minutes) – 31 calories
* Washing dishes (15 minutes) – 33 calories
* Blowdrying hair (15 minutes) – 39 calories
* Stretching (10 minutes) – 39 calories
* Driving (30 minutes) – 62 calories
* Showering (15 minutes) – 62 calories
* Packing a suitcase (30 minutes) – 62 calories
* Ironing (30 minutes) – 66 calories
* Mopping (20 minutes) – 66 calories
* Pushing a stroller with child (30 minutes) – 78 calories
* Playing a board game (60 minutes) – 93 calories
* Carrying an infant (30 minutes) – 109 calories
* Cooking (45 minutes) – 117 calories
* Walk/run playing with kids (30 minutes) – 117 calories
* Housework (30 minutes) – 140 calories
* Rearrange furniture (30 minutes – 195 calories

All of that gives you a GRAND TOTAL of 1,645 calories for the day! So, you see that it’s actually not that hard to take the weight off. You just need a little discipline and drive. Plus, it will give you incentive to do the things that on your To Do List that you’ve put off. Not bad…

      I am a volunteer so I have done many things for the community service. Last month, I raised money and funds for the poor, and they were very hapy. I also donated books and clothes for the children. Last week, I provided houses and food for the homless, and they looked very happy, too. So far, I , and my classmates, have planted trees and beautiful flowers in the school yard. It was so great. I have collected the rubbish on the beach and in the sea then I recycle them. It helps protectthe environment. And I, together with my family, often go to the hospital to help every one there. They are so freindly and they seem very happy when they see us. Volunteering is very good and special to me 'cause I can help others. I 'll do more in the future.

This is a complicated problem. Everyday, people burn fuel , causing air polution. People throw away millions of plas bags , tins and other objects. People have built thousands of new chemicals , factories. Their wastes are often poisonous and pollute the water environment ... I am disappointed that people have caused this prolem

There are three activities I to do in my free time. The first is cartoon . I watch cartoon very much. I love "Total Spies " most because it is very exciting and funny . I often watch it with my friend to relax . Second, I also play football with my brother and my friend when I have free time. I often play it in our school yard. The enveronment is everything around us, both natural and made by man. A major problem in the world today is the destruction of the natural environment.
This is complecated problem. We burn fuel and throw away plas bags these cause pollution . We have made thousands of new chemicals, factories that made or use chemicals always chemical wastes. These are often poesonous, and thay also stay in the environment.
What should we do at school or at home to minimize pollution ? for me, We could pick up garbage littered and put it into a gabage bin, we can reuse bottles and cans, use banana leaves or papers to wrap foot, not throw trash into the water or ground. That is how we can keep the school yard clean and protect the environement.
Moreover, using the public buses can reduce exhaust fume and threefore we can keep the air cleaner.
I think that it is not enough simply to talk about the problem . We must act now before it too late to do anything about it . Join us now to protect the environment. That is how we can save the Earth.

The environment is being destroyed every day, so we need to know how to protect the environment. We can do the following: Do not litter indiscriminately, do not use too much electricity, do not burn many types of gas, do not burn and destroy forests, not build too many types of plants, do not use use plant protection drugs, plant forests, paripate in and respond to propaganda sessions on the purpose of protecting the environment .... From there, we will be able to protect our green planet.
