*Giải thích was/were
Was được sử dụng ở những câu có chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ nhất I, ngôi thứ 3 số ít (He, she, it) và các danh từ số ít (Dog, Peter,…).

Trái ngược với was, thì were được sử dụng ở những câu có chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ 2 như You, they, we hoặc danh từ số nhiều (Tables, cats,..)
