There are a lot of activities that you can do in your leisure time. Some people are so tired of work that they prefer to use their free time just for resting and sleeping. Others spend their free time on their favourite activities. For example, they listen to music, play their favourite musical instrument, go on a picnic, take a trip, go to the nature and enjoy the fresh air, hang out with their friends, go partying, go shopping, visit their relatives, spend some time with their kids and play games with them, read and write, watch TV, watch movies or cartoons, go to the theatre, surf the net, cook, do some gardening, etc.  Some people me choose sports to enjoy their free time. Among different kinds of sports, I prefer basketball.When you play basketball with your team mates you have a chance to get rid of all the negative energies that are piled up in you throughout work or study time. Your body is wholly involved. Basketball involves both your mind and your body. It’s an extremely physical activity, so that even your finger tips have to be strong. In basketball you need both stamina and speed to be a successful player. It’s not that important if you’re not tall. Your strength is of much more importance.  Both feet and hands must be strong. Even you need to be wise in this game. If you know where to stand so that your rival has a weak chance of blocking you, you’ll more successfully get close to the basket to shoot and score. Basketball is a team work and this is what I the most about this sport. You learn how to cooperate with other team mates. Sometimes, you need to sacrifice yourself by blocking the rival so that your team mate can find space to go to the basket and score. Passing the ball to other members of your team makes the chance of winning higher and higher.

Going out with friends is my second favorite hobby. I often going out with my friends for eating and chatting. I love chatting with my closed friends, I can share all my stories with them. It’s always filled with laughter and I feel very happy when I am with my friends.

What do you usually do in your free time? Each person has a different taste. I love listening to music, watching movies and surfing the web in my free time. Music makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. I often listen to light or playful songs. While listening to music I usually do housework so as not to waste time. From time to time I will select unique love movies to watch. Watching movies I can experience many different emotions. I often watch Chinese series. Sometimes I will online facebook to chat with my friends and read information on this social network. Today, facebook gives users a lot of interesting experiences, so I love it. The study time is stressful, so your free time can be used for fun or doing things that you love.

My favorite things to do in my free time is hanging out with my friends and playing sports. I am a very outgoing person, so I love to meet and have relaxing times with my friends at the weekend. We usually sit at a coffee shop to chat about our week, or we sometimes go shopping to buy some foods and then cook at one of our houses. Those times are when I feel comfortable to talk about myself, and it really helps me to relieve the pressure from the work over the entire week. When all of my friends are busy, I choose to go to the park and play some sports such as badminton and shuttlecock kicking. There are always people that want to play with me, so I do not need a partner whenever I want to play sports. Besides, I also go to the pool to have some fun under the water, and I am pretty good at swimming. A week for me is so long, but thinking of the free and good time to do whatever I on Saturday and Sunday give me more strength and energy to finish it.

In my free time, I love to relax myself by listening to music and watching my favorite films. I study all day, so after 7PM is the only time that I can use for myself. I have a smart phone, so I can download a lot of songs from the Internet for free, and I usually hear them with my headphone. Sometimes when my parents are not at home, I turn on the loudspeakers to have the best experience with music, but most of the time I just listen in silence. Besides music, movies are my biggest love. When I am not listening to the songs, I turn on my computer and watch some of the lasted movies on the websites. Since most of the best films are from Europe and America, this is also a way for me to improve my English skills. After the stressful hours at school, some of the spare time at the end of the day is the time I spend to do what I like. Usually I would choose to listen to music, when I am in sad moods I hear soft ballads. In happy times I listen to Pop music in order to dance to the catchy tunes. When I have to deal with stressful issues, I listen to classical music to ease my nerve. Besides listening to music, reading and writing are some of the things that I love to do every time I have free time. Those compliments and comments made me feel very happy and proud of myself. I sometimes go out with my friends, and we like to go to many beautiful places to take pictures. We also love to go to the cinema together to watch the latest films, and then we go shopping or eat together. Those relaxing times add energy so I can start my other work efficiently. It is so great that I can do whatever I want, as long as I do not bother anyone.

I especially like the weekends for at that time I can go out for cafe, go to open air recreation centers to play sport games such as: tennis, volley ball, martial arts, or swimming. I often play online games but they are not as attractive as others open air activities or sport games. Sometimes I go for a picnic to a beautiful sightseeing. Friendly activities also make me feel relaxed. I am stressed while studying too hard so these activities relax me and help me have good performance in studying a lot.

As a student, I am quite busy on weekdays. However, at weekends, I have much free time, so I usually spend it on relaxing to prepare for a coming busy week. First of all, in my free time, I like playing some sports, such as soccer, badminton or basketball, with my friends. Sport not only makes me stronger but also connects me with my friends who have the same hobbies. We sometimes go riding in order that we can combine sporting activity and sightseeing. If the weather is not fine enough for me to hang out with my friends, I like to read books. I have a big bookshelf with many kinds of books but I prefer science books. Through these books, my knowledge is gradually enlarged. Thirdly, I also love to listen to music from pop, rock 'n roll to rap or melody. I can listen to music at any place with a small but modern Ipod which is my father's gift for my 18th birthday. Sometimes, I dance freely when listening to my favorite songs. Music really paints my life. Last but not least, I spend my free time on surfing on Internet. I can chat with my friends from very far distance or log on websites to read online news. With Internet, I update many things without having to go anywhere. I can also study English through some interesting websites.
