My favourite leisure activity is reading. I like reading because it is a hobby that is useful and interesting: useful because you can find a lot of knowledge of all areas that you need; interesting because the books can give you the joy and help you relax after a day of toil etc... Especially, when you join the forum, you can meet a lot of people who have interests similar to yours, comment on the books or novels that interest you.

I love books and also natural as reading books. At the age of ten, I was awarded "The Scarlet Sails" of Alexandre Green by my grandfather. It is the first of book that I have been. I read it does not know how many times (Up to now, I still love it and occasionally read it again). My love for books begun.

I usually spend almost of free time in choosing the book with my friends, participate in dicussion on the forum and reading (of course!). Every weekend and all holidays when I have no work to do, I often read books and ruminate on it. I also help some friends can select the genres of books that they like.

I always hope that I will have my own library in my future. I love books very much and perhaps, I couldn't live without them.

There are a lot of activities that you can do in your leisure time. Some people are so tired of work that they prefer to use their free time just for resting and sleeping. Others spend their free time on their favourite activities. For example, they listen to music, play their favourite musical instrument, go on a picnic, take a trip, go to the nature and enjoy the fresh air, hang out with their friends, go partying, go shopping, visit their relatives, spend some time with their kids and play games with them, read and write, watch TV, watch movies or cartoons, go to the theatre, surf the net, cook, do some gardening, etc. Some people like me choose sports to enjoy their free time. Among different kinds of sports, I prefer basketball.

When you play basketball with your team mates you have a chance to get rid of all the negative energies that are piled up in you throughout work or study time. Your body is wholly involved. Basketball involves both your mind and your body. It’s an extremely physical activity, so that even your finger tips have to be strong. In basketball you need both stamina and speed to be a successful player. It’s not that important if you’re not tall. Your strength is of much more importance. Both feet and hands must be strong. Even you need to be wise in this game. If you know where to stand so that your rival has a weak chance of blocking you, you’ll more successfully get close to the basket to shoot and score. Sometimes, by being wise and finding the right place to stand and block the rival saves your team.

Basketball is a team work and this is what I like the most about this sport. You learn how to cooperate with other team mates. Sometimes, you need to sacrifice yourself by blocking the rival so that your team mate can find space to go to the basket and score. Passing the ball to other members of your team makes the chance of winning higher and higher.

All in all, basketball is so enjoyable and fun if you play it in a group, not individually.

I often cook when I have free time because cooking is a joyful and relaxing activity for me.

- First, cooking a good meal brings happiness to my family. All the members in my family can gatheraround the table and enjoy the food I cook and talk and share the joy with each others

Mid-Autumn Festival is held on 15\(^{th}\) day of the eighth lunar month to celebrate biggest full moon in the year. When this festival is coming, the adults and parents prepare many different food like moon cakes, fruits, candies,.... Moreover, children are given many nice lanterns and starlights to light them during the Mid-Autumn night. Nowadays, the meaning of the festival has been kept and developed although some of the tradition toys have been replaced by modern toys. My hometown is Hanoi capital. Hanoi is where I was born and raised. It is located in the north of Vietnam. The city is both traditional and modern. There are many ancient places such as the 36 Streets of Hanoi Old Quarter, One Pillar Pagoda, Hoan Kiem Lake, … Everyone can come here and enjoy the beauty of the places. There are also many high and modern buildings and big shopping centers and amusement parks. Hanoians are friendly and welcoming. They are always ready to help others. Another Hanoi’s specialty is the traffic jam. More and more people have moved here from all over the country to find higher-salary jobs. During the rush hours, it is hard to travel. However, many foreign tourists see traffic congestion in Hanoi as an experience and enjoyment. I hope to contribute to develop my homeland in the future.

I have many friends. However, I consider Thu to be my best friend. We have known each other for 5 years. Thu is a short girl with long black hair and white skin. What I like most about Thu's personality is that she is very kind and helps people around her. She always helps other students in class. I'm not good at Math so she often tutors me after school.
