We use (xài) an adjective (tính từ) to describe (để tả) nouns (danh từ).

We use (xài) adverbs (trợ động từ) to talk more (để nói thêm) about (về) verbs (động từ).

We often (thường) form (tạo) an adverb (trợ động từ) by (bằng cách) adding (thêm) -ly to (vào) an adjective (tính từ).

You/swim

Past simple: You swam.

Past continuous: You was swimming.

Past perfect: You had swum.

Past Perfect continuous: You had been swimming.

Present simple: You swim.

Present continuous: You are swimming.

Present perfect: You have swum.

Present perfect continuous: You have been swimming.

Future simple: You will swim./ You are going to swim.

Future continuous: You will be swimming./ You are going to be swimming.

Future perfect: You will have swum./ You are going to have swum.

Future perfect continuous: You will have been swimming./ You are going to have been swimming.

Future in past simple: You would swim./ You was going to swim.

Future in past continuous: You would be swimming.

Future in past perfect: You would have swum.

Future in past perfect continuous: I dont know that we have this kind of tense batngo

2.     After Mary (finish)…had finished…………………her homework last night, she (go)…………went………..out for a walk.

3.     I (wash) .................was washing..................dishes when I (drop) ..................dropped.............. a plate and (break) ................broke................... it.

4.     I (hit) ..........hit......................... my thumb while I (use) ...............was using....................the hammer. Ouch!

5.     When we fist (meet)……………met……………each other five years ago, both of us (just/graduate) …………had just graduated……………from unniversity.
