There are four people in my family: my parents, my younger sister and I. My father is a 45-year-old engineer. He spends most of his time in the building sites. That’s why he has a tanned skin. As soon as he comes home, he turns on the television to watch the news, relaxes for a while and then he takes a shower. In case my mother doesn’t cook for the dinner yet, my father is very happy to join hand and help her. Talk about my mother, she is a 40-year-old primary school teacher. In every morning, she is the one who wakes up earliest to prepare the breakfast, clothes and necessary things for my father, me and my sister. After we leave home to work or study, my mother will have a quick breakfast and drive to the primary school. After school, she runs fast to the market, buys some fresh food and backs to home to cook lunch. My father doesn’t come home in the noon so only three of us eat and talk to each other during lunch. However, the lunch is still prepared very scrupulous. In general, my mother is a gentel caring woman and sometimes she is very strict. I have a younger sister who will be 8 years old in the next October. My sister is pretty, docile and hard study. On every weekend, I take her to the park to have fun and we will buy some tasty ice creams. We quite close and sometimes she makes me very angry because of her negligent habit. The last person in my family is me. I am studying in the second year of Business Administration major at Hong Bang University. My schedule is changed frequently and I am also trying to get a scholarship to study abroad in Canada next year so I don’t spend much time to my family. But any time when I am free I try to help my mother in household chorces and take care of my sister. In my family, each person has a different responsibility but we always stand together to enjoy happiness moments, overcome the difficult time and solve the problems. I understand that there is nothing that is more important than my family. I love my parents and my lovely sister so much.

Nói chung, mẹ tôi là một phụ nữ hiền lành đảm đang và đôi khi rất nghiêm khắc. Tôi có một em gái sẽ tròn 8 tuổi vào tháng 11 tới. Nó rất dễ thương, ngoan ngoãn và chăm chỉ học tập. Vào mỗi dịp cuối tuần tôi hay dẫn em đến công viên giải trí và đi ăn những cây kem tươi ngon. Chúng tôi khá thân thiết nhưng đôi khi nó làm tôi phát cáu bởi vì thói quen cẩu thả của mình. Người cuối cùng trong gia đình tôi chính là tôi. Tôi đang học năm thứ hai ngành Quản Trị Kinh Doanh tại đại học Hồng Bàng. Lịch học của tôi thường xuyên thay đổi và tôi đang cố để giành được học bổng du học Canada trong năm tới nên tôi không dành nhiều thời gian cho gia đình. Nhưng bất kì khi nào rảnh tôi luôn phụ mẹ công việc nhà và chăm sóc em gái. Trong gia đình tôi mỗi người đều có một trách nhiệm riêng nhưng chúng tôi luôn sát cánh bên nhau để tận hưởng những giây phút hạnh phúc, vượt qua thời gian khó khăn và cùng giải quyết vấn đề. Tôi hiểu rằng không có điều gì quan trọng hơn gia đình. Tôi yêu bố mẹ và cô em gái dễ thương rất nhiều.

I and Hung are team mates in our school’s soccer team, and that is the reason we became best friends. At first we did not know each other, but we quickly became close after just a few weeks. Hung is a good player, so he always helps me prace to improve my skills. In order to thank him, I become his instructor in some of the subjects in class. I am as tall and slim as Hung, and many people say that we look brothers. In fact, we are even closer than brothers. We can share almost everything, from feelings to clothes and hobbies. I always proud of our friend ship, and we will keep it this as long as we can.

My best friend in high school is Lan. Lan sits next to me in class, eats with me at break time, and hangs out with me after school. She has long and beautiful hair; my mother always says that I need to pay more attention to my hair so it can be pretty as hers. I am good at English while Lan is excellent in Math, therefore we can help each other every time one of us has trouble in understanding those subjects. Emperor Ly Thanh Tong founded The Temple of Literature in 1070. Now it is considered as one of the historic and cultural sites of Vietnam. And then in 1076 Emperor Ly Nhan Tong built The Imperial Academy as the first university of Vietnam.In 1484, Emperor Le Thanh Tong built the first Doctor’s stone tablet there to memorize the devotion of Doctors. Now it is recognized as the World heritage by UNESCO. In 2003, the Ha Noi People Committee built four statues of Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, Emperor Ly Nhan Tong, King Le Thanh Tong, and Chu Van An who founded and developed Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy.

Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. Currently, I am a student in a junior high school. It takes 15 minutes to walk from my house to school. Every day I walk to school. My school is yellow. It is located in the middle of a large land. There are many trees around the school. The schoolyard is very large. We often organize collective activities here. My school has a multi-purpose training ground. We will learn gymnass here. Also, we can play sports here during recess. With different subjects we will study in separate classrooms. My favorite is the lab. We use it to study chemistry. My secondary school is a place that bears all the hallmarks of my childhood memories. It is placed in the center of my district. Surrounded by a paddy-field, it enjoys lined- trees and colorful garden, which creates a wonderful view. Moreover, this school was designed with a large- scale plan. It is a 2 storied building of u shape with capacity of 1000 people and it was invested heavily in infrastructures with well- equipped classrooms. In a good environment, students are given many precious chances to discover and develop their inner talents. Besides modern facilities, this school is also well- known for enthusias and qualified teachers who are always dedicated and devoted themselves to teaching career. In conclusion, studied in this school for four years, it has become an indispensable part in my life.

The house I am living in is situated in the suburb of Hanoi city, within thirty minutes drive off the city center. We have lived there for more than twenty years. This is a fairly large house surrounded with a beautiful garden.

My house consists of four bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom with a shower, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned and well-furnished. The living-room is decorated beautifully. Paintings by famous artists are hung on the walls. At night, the color neon lights increase the beauty and coziness of the room. There, on Sundays and holidays my father usually spends his time playing chess or drinking tea with his friends. My mother and my younger sisters are kind and hard-working women. They often keep the house clean and tidy.

On hot days of summer, we usually take meals in the garden, under a big tree. It is fairly cool and quiet here. We enjoy our meals in the melodious twitters of birds. On stormy and rainy nights, all family members gather in the living-room, watching television or telling each other about their daily activities.

I love my house very much because it is the place where I was born and have grown up in the education of my father and in the tender loving care of my mother. I have spent my whole childhood in the love and affection of my dear ones with so many sweet memories.

King Hung Temple Festival is a traditional festival that is considered the national festival in Vietnam. The festival commemorates the merit of the first King of Vietnam - Hung Kings. It's an occasion for every Vietnamese to remember their origin and express their respect as well as gratitude to the ancestors of Vietnamese people. It is from 8^th to 11^th of the third lunar month in Phu Tho Province. This festival is impressive because there are many people joining it. The main activities are: offering to Hung Kings, bamboo swings, Lion dances, wrestling and xoan singing performances. I this festival very much because it is so meaningful and I also its joyfulness. Joining the pilgrimage to the ancestral land of King Hung Temple these days has become a beautiful tradition of Vietnamese people.
