My secondary school is a place that bears all the hallmarks of my childhood memories. It is placed in the center of my district. Surrounded by a paddy-field, it enjoys lined- trees and colorful garden, which creates a wonderful view. Moreover, this school was designed with a large- scale plan. It is a 2 storied building of u shape with capacity of 1000 people and it was invested heavily in infrastructures with well- equipped classrooms. In a good environment, students are given many precious chances to discover and develop their inner talents. Besides modern facilities, this school is also well- known for enthusias and qualified teachers who are always dedicated and devoted themselves to teaching career. In conclusion, studied in this school for four years, it has become an indispensable part in my life.

I live in Ho Chi Minh City, and Tet holiday in the city is very bustling occasion. Within a month before the Lunar New Year, the streets are very crowded, many people go out to do shopping and enjoy the holiday scenery. My parents are busy cleaning the house, and I am busy thinking about what to wear and where to go. Right after we have a break from school, my friends and I spend most of the time on Nguyen Hue Flower Street to take pictures. However, Nguyen Hue Street is not the only beautiful place, almost everywhere in the main streets are wonderful for people to have great pictures. They are beautifully decorated with bright lights, and the apricot blossom - the symbol of New Year's Day can be found everywhere. On New Year's Eve, my family and I watch fireworks from Sai Gon Bridge; we have to go there before nine o’clock to get a good spot. Early in the first morning of the year, we go to the pagoda to pray for peace and health, and then I accompany my parents to visit my grandparents and relatives. Tet is my favorite holiday because it is an occasion to enjoy the festive atmosphere, delicious food, and receive lucky money. I wish that Tet could last for a month.

On land, most of the land area is plains covered by two main rivers, Red River and Nhue River.
Traffic
Thuong Tin has convenient transportation system with two land routes running along the district. It is 17.2 km long and 1 km of highway 1A and the highway of Phap Van - Cau Gie bridge is 17 km long. Old 73); crossing the district is the provincial road 427 (old road 71) from Van La slope (Hong Van commune) crossing the Khe Hoi crossing bridge on the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway to Thuong Tin town to cut with the North-South railway to the west of the district and ends in Thanh Oai district. Provincial highway 429 (73 old) from Phu Minh town (Phu Xuyen district) crossing Van Diem bridge to Do Xa junction intersection with the old national highway 1A; Next is the section 429 from Tia Cross intersecting the north-south railway running into Dong Quan. It is expected to build Me So bridge connecting Van Giang district of Hung Yen province.

Ong Nguyen is a suburb of Tran Son Nam from the Le dynasty to the Nguyen dynasty. At that time, Thuong Tin was in Ha Dong province. Phu Thuong Tin now includes districts: Thanh Tri, Thuong Phuc (now Thuong Tin), Phu Xuyen and Hong Duc (now My Duc district).

On April 21, 1965, Thuong Tin district of Ha Tay province (merging two provinces of Ha Dong and Son Tay), including 33 communes: Chuong Duong, Dai Ang, Dong My, Dung Tien, Duyen Thai, Ha Hoi, Hien Giang Hoa Binh, Hong Van, Khanh Ha, Le Loi, Lien Ninh, Lien Phuong, Minh Cuong, Nghiem Xuyen, Ngoc Hoi, Nguyen Trai, Nhi Khe, Ninh So, Quat Dong, Ta Thanh Oai, Tan Minh, Thong Nhat, Phu Phu, Tien Phong, To Hieu, Tu Nhien, Van Binh, Van Diem, Van Phu, Van Tao, Van Tu.

On December 29, 1975, Thuong Tin district of Ha Son Binh province was merged into Ha Tay and Hoa Binh provinces.

On December 29, 1978, five communes in the north of Thuong Tin District were Dai Ang, Lien Ninh, Ngoc Hoi, Ta Thanh Oai and Dong My. There are 28 communes in Chom Duong, Chuong Duong, Dung Tien, Duyen Thai, Ha Hoi, Hien Giang, Hoa Binh, Hong Van, Khanh Ha, Le Loi, Lien Phuong, Minh Cuong, Nghiem Xuyen, Nguyen Trai, Nhi Khe, .

On March 19, 1988, Thuong Tin Town was established on the basis of adjusting part of the natural area and population of Van Binh, Van Phu and Ha Hoi communes.

On August 12, 1991, Thuong Tin returned to Ha Tay province. As such, Thuong Tin district has 1 town and 28 communes, keeping stable so far.

On August 1, 2008, together with the whole province of Ha Tay, Thuong Tin district was merged into Hanoi capital according to the resolution of the Government of Vietnam.

I really want to tell you about my friend, one of my best friend is Tuan. We were  classmate during our five years at  Da Nang University of Technology. He was a good student of my class. He has black hair and bright eyes and is very good – looking. Tuan and I had many things in common, especially, our hobbies. We both traveling, billiard, table tennis, reading book and singing.

He has a kind heart and is easy to get on with everybody. The deeper our mutual understanding becomes the more we feel closely attached to each other. We are the best pupils in our class. Tuan is always at the top. He is good at every subject, but he never shows pride in his abilities and always tries to learn harder.

Tuan’s family is not rich. His parents are farmers. He often spends most of his free time doing useful things to help his parents. I Tuan very much because of his honesty and straight forwardness. He is always ready to help his weak friends in their study; as a result, lots of friends, thanks to his whole-hearted help, have become good ones

My best friend in high school is Linh. Linh sits next to me in class, eats with me at break time, and hangs out with me after school. She has long and beautiful hair; my mother always says that I need to pay more attention to my hair so it can be pretty as hers. I am good at English while Linh is excellent in Math, therefore we can help each other every time one of us has trouble in understanding those subjects. Each summer vacation, I am taken to the countryside by my parents so as to relax after a hard working term. I really like the life here. The landscape is very poetic and picturesque. There are many gardens, rivers here. We can grow vegetables or chickens, fish,... on our own. The local are very kind, generous and friendly. Another thing that we especially like is that in the countryside, we are reconciled to nature so that the soul is always open and the body is healthy. Living in the countryside is fun and wonderful. The main character is Doraemon cats from the 22nd century to help Nobita, the lubberly boy. His duty is to help Nobia overcome troubles by using magical decorations. In addition, Doraemon and his team including Nobita, Xeko, Chaien and Xuka also join in the adventuous journey to the new land that is exciting and also dangerous. Through the pages, we see a beautiful and pure friendship. The first time I read Doraemon was in the second grade, since then, the book has been with my childhood, creating beautiful memories.

'Everything, everything' is one of the best books I've ever read. It is written by the famous American author, Nicola Yoon. The book has a quite portable size so I can easily bring it with me. The cover of book is blue, looks pretty eye-catching. This is the New York Times No. 1 bestseller and was adapted into a movie. At the first time reading, I was very impressed with the way story telling. The story revolves around the life of the poor Maddy. Since childhood, she was diagnosed with a serious disease and had to live away from the world around. Her life repeated every day, so boringly but then one day, Olly appeared, he was such a light that brightened life of Maddy. She was no longer alone, every day seemed an interesting gift, from the brief chat to the non-verbal gestures through the window. Naturally, Maddy had broken the limits of herself, stepped out of the bubble house, which had long restricted her to pursue her own passion and freedom. The book engages me in a non-stop adventure with many emotions, sometimes is happy and sometimes is sad. Đặc biệt, nó đã thay đổi tôi khá nhiều, từ một cô gái nhút nhát trở nên tự tin hơn, dám mạnh dạn theo đuổi những đam mê của bản thân.
