Ha Long Bay is one of the best wonders of Viet Nam and it is listed in the list of seven wonders of the world. It is located in Quang Ninh, a district in the Northeast of this little country. With the beautiful blue water, sandy beach, various of shapes and sizes, Ha Long Bay easily attracted tourists from nationwide wide and from all over the world. It is Ha Long Bay is in Quang Ninh province. It is very far. It's about 100km from my house. I can get there by bus. It's very very beatiful. It has many islands, caves and seafood. Halong bay is in northeastern Vietnam, from E106°56' to E107°37' and from N20°43' to N21°09'. The bay stretches from Yên Hưng district, past Hạ Long city, Cẩm Phả town to Vân Đồn district, bordered on the south and southeast by the Gulf of Tonkin, on the north by China and on the west and southwest by Cát Bà island. The bay has a 120 kilometre long coastline and is approximately 1,553 square kilometres in size with 1969 islets. The area designated by UNESCO as the World Natural Heritage Site includes 434 km² with 775 islets, of which the core zone is delimited by 69 points: Đầu Gỗ island on the west, Ba Hầm lake on the south and Cống Tây island on the east. Their living environment is coastal area unlike other Vietnamese cultures, for example those found in Hoà Bình, Bắc Sơn, etc.

Vịnh Hạ Long còn có truyền thuyết đó là Ngọc Hoàng sai Rồng Mẹ mang theo một đàn Rồng Con xuống hạ giới giúp người Việt đánh giặc. Thuyền giặc từ ngoài biển ào ạt tiến vào bờ vừa lúc đàn Rồng tới hạ giới. Đàn Rồng lập tức phun ra lửa thiêu cháy thuyền giặc, một phần nhả Châu Ngọc dựng thành bức tường đá sừng sững làm cho thuyền giặc đâm phải mà vỡ tan, chặn đứng bước tiến của ngoại bang.

Sau khi giặc tan, thấy cảnh mặt đất thanh bình, cây cối tươi tốt, con người nơi đây lại cần cù, chịu khó, đoàn kết giúp đỡ nhau, Rồng Mẹ và Rồng Con không trở về trời mà ở lại hạ giới, nơi vừa diễn ra trận chiến để muôn đời bảo vệ con dân Đại Việt. Vị trí Rồng Mẹ đáp xuống là Hạ Long; nơi Rồng Con đáp xuống là Bái Tử Long và đuôi đàn rồng quẫy nước trắng xoá là Bạch Long Vĩ (bán đảo Trà Cổ ngày nay, với bãi cát dài trên 15 km).

 

Lại có truyền thuyết khác nói rằng vào thời kỳ nọ khi đất nước có giặc ngoại xâm, một con rồng đã bay theo dọc sông xuôi về phía biển và hạ cánh xuống ở vùng ven biển Đông Bắc làm thành bức tường thành chắn bước tiến của thủy quân giặc. Chỗ rồng đáp xuống che chở cho đất nước được gọi là Hạ Long.

Trước hết về vị trí của vịnh Hạ Long thì nó nằm ở vùng Ðông Bắc Việt Nam, vịnh Hạ Long là một phần vịnh Bắc Bộ, bao gồm vùng biển của thành phố Hạ Long, thị xã Cẩm Phả và một phần của huyện đảo Vân Ðồn. Phía tây nam Vịnh giáp đảo Cát Bà, phía đông là biển, phần còn lại giáp đất liền với đường bờ biển dài 120 km, được giới hạn từ 106o58′ – 107o22′ kinh độ Ðông và 20o45′ – 20o50′ vĩ độ Bắc với tổng diện tích 1553 km2.

 

Tiếp nữa là về đảo ở đây thì có 1969 hòn đảo lớn nhỏ, trong đó 989 đảo có tên và 980 đảo chưa có tên. Đảo nơi đây gồm có hai dạng đó là đảo đá vôi và đảo phiếm thạch tập trung ở Bái tử long và vinh Hạ Long. Ở đây thì chúng ta thấy được hàng loạt những hang động đẹp và nổi tiếng. Vùng Di sản thiên nhiên được thế giới công nhận có diện tích 434 km2 bao gồm 775 đảo, như một hình tam giác với 3 đỉnh là đảo Ðầu Gỗ (phía tây), hồ Ba Hầm (phía nam), đảo Cống Tây (phía đông) vùng kế bên là khu vực đệm và di tích danh thắng quốc gia được Bộ Văn hóa Thông tin xếp hạng năm 1962.
Đến với Hạ Long thì người ta không thể nào rời mắt khỏi những cảnh vật nơi đây. Nào là núi, nào là nước với những hang động thật sự hấp dẫn người ta muốn đi tới tận cùng để tìm thấy cái hữu hạn trong cái vô hạn của trời nước, núi non ấy. chúng ta cứ ngỡ rằng ngọn núi kia giống như những người khổng lồ vậy, ngồi trong thuyền mà ngước lên để đo tầm cao của những ngọn núi ấy thật sự là mỏi mắt. Đến đây ta mới biết hết thế nào là sự hùng vĩ, thế nào là sự hữu tình giữa nước và non. Làn nước biển mặn mà vị xa xăm của muối. Hang động với những nhũ đá như sắp rơi xuống nhưng thật chất lại là không rơi. Nó cứ tua tủa như muôn ngàn giọt ngọc dạng lỏng lấp lánh dính vào nhau nhưng không rơi xuống.

Con người nơi đây cũng thật sự là rất đáng yêu đáng quý. Họ không những mến khách mà còn như một người hướng dẫn viên du lịch vừa nói giới thiệu tả cảnh vừa vững tay chèo đẩy lái đến nơi khách muốn qua. Những con người ở đây nồng nhiệt mỗi khi có khách đến và khi khách đi thì để lại những ấn tượng khó phai về những con người miền non nước hữu tình với những tình cảm mặn mà như là muối biển vậy.

Qua đây ta thấy vịnh Hạ Long rất xứng đáng là một trong bảy kì quan của thế giới. Nếu những ai đã được đặt chân đến đây thì chắc hẳn rất ấn tượng bởi cảnh đẹp và con người nơi đây. Còn những ai chưa đến thì hãy nhanh chóng đến

Động Phong Nha nằm trong vườn quốc gia Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng, một vườn quốc gia tại huyện Bố Trạch và Minh Hóa thuộc tỉnh Quảng Bình, cách thành phố Đồng Hới khoảng 50km về phía Tây Bắc, cách thủ đô Hà Nội khoảng 500 km về phía Nam. Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng nằm ở một khu vực núi đá vôi rộng khoảng 200.000ha. Vườn quốc gia bao gồm 300 hang động lớn nhỏ khác nhau. Điểm đặc trưng của vườn quốc gia này là các kiến tạo đá vôi, 300 hang động và các sông ngầm, hệ thống động vật quý hiếm nằm trong sách đỏ Việt Nam và sách đỏ Thế giới. Các hang động ở đây với tổng chiều dài là khoảng hơn 80km nhưng các nhà thám hiểm Anh và Việt Nam mới chỉ tìm hiểu được 20km. Vào tháng 4 năm 2009, một đoàn thám hiểm thuộc Hiệp hội Hoàng gia Anh đã phát hiện ra một hang động khác lớn hơn rất nhiều động Phong Nha nhưng động Phong Nha vẫn là hang động giữ nhiều kỉ luật về cái “nhất”: hang nước dài nhất, cửa hang cao và rộng nhất; bãi cát, đá rộng và đẹp nhất; hồ ngầm đẹp nhất; thạch nhũ tráng lệ và kì ảo nhất; dòng sông ngầm dài nhất Việt Nam; hang khô rộng và đẹp nhất thế giới.

Trước đó, khi Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng chưa phải là vườn quốc gia, khu vực này là khu vực bảo tồn thiên nhiên, từ ngày 9 tháng 8 năm 1986 được mở rộng thêm diện tích là 41132ha. Mãi đến ngày 12 tháng 12 năm 2001, thủ trướng chính phủ đã ra nghị quyết chuyển khu bảo tồn thiên nhiên này thành vườn đa quốc gia và có tên gọi như hiện nay.

Quá trình hình thành hang động là một quá trình khá lâu dài. Từ những kiến tạo địa chất xảy ra trong lòng dãy núi đá vôi Kẻ Bàng vào thời kì Đại cổ sinh đã làm thay đổi hoàn toàn về địa chất nơi đây. Sự tác động của nội lực bên trong lòng trái đất và ngoại lực đã tạo ra vẻ đẹp kì bí rất riêng của động Phong Nha. Hệ thống đứt gãy chằng chịt trên mặt đá vôi đã tạo điều kiện cho nước dễ thấm vào các khối đá vôi. Sự xâm thực đã gặm mòn, hòa tan, rửa trôi đá vôi trong hàng triệu năm. Qua đó nó đã tạo nên một hang động ăn sâu trong núi đá vôi.

Động Phong Nha bao gồm động khô và động nước, nổi bật nhất trong các động khô là động Tiên Sơn. Động Tiên Sơn có chiều dài 980m. Từ cửa động đi vào khoảng 400m có một vực sâu khoảng 10m và sau đó là động đá ngầm dài gần 500m khá nguy hiểm. Du khách đến tham quan, để đảm bảo an toàn chỉ được đi sâu vào 400m tính từ cửa động. Động Thiên Sơn là nơi có cảnh thạnh nhũ và những phiến đá kì vĩ huyền ảo. Các âm thanh phát ra từ các phiến đá, khi được gõ vào vọng như tiếng cồng chiêng.Theo các nhà khoa học thuộc Hội hang động Hoàng gia Anh, động này được kiến tạo cách đây hàng chục triệu năm, khi một dòng nước chảy qua quả núi đã đục rỗng, bào mòn núi đá vôi Kẻ Bàng. Sau đó, do địa chất thay đổi, khối đá vôi đổ sụp, chặn dòng chảy và làm nên động khô Tiên Sơn. Còn hệ thống động nước nổi bật nhất là động Phong Nha. Tạo hóa đã dựng nên những khối thạch nhũ đủ màu sắc với những hình dạng khác nhau. Vẻ kì ảo ấy khiến ai đến tham qua cũng trầm trồ khen ngợi. Động Phong Nha dài 7729m. Hang có chiều dài dài nhất của động là 145m. Động Phong Nha còn được mệnh danh là Thủy Tề Tiên vì nơi đây những cột đá, thạch nhũ như mang một phong thái rất khác nhau. Tiếng nước vỗ vào đá vang vọng thật xa. Động Phong Nha đẹp như một bức tranh thủy mạc mà nhiều hang động khác phải ngưỡng mộ.

Động Phong Nha ngoài có giá trị về du lịch nó còn là một di chỉ khảo cổ. Những nhà thám hiểm và người dân nơi đây đã phát hiện ra nhiều chữ khắc trên đá của người xưa, gạch, tượng đá, tượng phật, mảnh gốm và nhiều bài vị tại đây. Ở động Phong Nha người ta đã phát hiện nhiều mảnh than và miệng bình gốm có tráng men của Chàm và các đồ gốm thô sơ khác. Động Phong Nha còn là nơi vua Hàm Nghi trú ngụ trong thời kì thực hiện chiếu Cần Vương kháng chiến chống Pháp.

Động Phong Nha – hang động tạo nên niềm tự hào cho dân tộc Việt Nam. Nó là bằng chứng cho sự ưu đãi của thiên nhiên nước ta. Động Phong Nha đã được UNESCO công nhận là di sản văn hóa thế giới. Ai đã từng đến động đều nhớ mãi sự kì diệu mà động mang lại từ vẻ đẹp thuần túy thiên nhiên
