We can do grammar exercises in grammar books,write E as much as possible. It makes us revise our knowledge and improve our writing skill. We can wath E on TV , learn to sing E songs,read short stories or newpapers in E,listen to the programs on the radio and E tapes.It makes us improve our listening and reading skills.We should use a distionary for reading. It makes us save up newwords. The best important is that we usually practise by speaking with friends and learing by heart all newword and texts.

English is an international language. However, learning a language is not an easy matter. It would be easier for us, if we try to improve the four skills in a language. The four skills are as: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Actually, there are two ways to acquire a language. One is called acquisition and the other is named learning. First, if a person wants to improve in listening skill, he needs to be a careful listener. He can also listen to the B.B.C radio news and can enjoy other programmes in English. Gradually his listening skill will be developed. Secondly, speaking is the most important skill of all. To improve the skill we must converse in English as much as possible. There is no other way to do better in the skill but to practise speaking. We should not be much worried about our mistakes while speaking. Thirdly, reading is the third skill. We can be successful in the skill only by reading a great number of books. And they must be written in English. One can read short stories, English newspapers, English grammar books by the English and so on. Finally, writing is another essential language skill. To be good at writing, we must write regularly and for this, we can choose any topic. Although, it is hard to be a good writer, only rigorous prace may help us in this regard. Thus we can both acquire and learn English well.

Study well 

Speak as often and as much as possible! This is the best way to learn English! There is nothing better than conversation to help you improve. Whereas, you can practise reading, writing, and listening on your own, it’s obviously better to speak English with someone. The best way to do this is to be in an English speaking environment. Take an English course in an English language school, or better still, learn English in an English-speaking country.

The quickest way to learn English is to surround yourself with English speakers. Also, get into the habit of thinking in English, don’t translate from your own language into English, it will slow you down. When you talk, use the sentences which instantly and naturally feel right to you, these are often the correct ones. Many students learn to develop an ‘intuition’ about English, use yours and trust it.

This might sound a little strange and embarrassing at first, but record yourself talking and listen to your own pronunciation, talking speed and the flow of your speaking. It will give you a great chance to see the areas you need to work on. Finally, it’s fun to sing in English, so learn some English songs and sing your heart out!

This really is a skill that needs to be worked on everyday. speaking, it’s better for you to be in a totally English speaking environment. Full immersion is the best way for you to improve your level. Again, nothing can beat learning at an English language school abroad.

It’s also good to watch TV shows, or movies in English. The news can be difficult to learn from for level students, but the more you listen the more you’ll pick up. As an exercise, it’s good to have something you can listen to over and over again. For example, a DVD can be repeated whereas a news report can only be heard once. When listening to something more than once; first, try to catch the general meaning, then, listen a second time for more in-depth information.

Learn to ’shadow’ using a DVD or CD, listen and repeat what you hear said. It’s important to remember that a native English speaker is not going to repeat something 10 times for you to understand, so as a long term goal, you must focus on learning to get your listening right first time.

Here are another couple of important things to think about.

Reading English is something you can do to help you learn on your own, outside of the classroom. Have a dictionary with you (English/English is best.) to look up new words and then write them down in a notebook. Try to use these new words in conversation, it's a great way to learn.

Newspapers are good for higher level students, so for lower levels try reading children’s stories or books which have been especially written for English learners. You won’t learn much if you choose a book that is too difficult or too easy. You should find something that will be challenging, fun, and you can learn well from.

When you read don’t worry about trying to understand every world, don’t keep reaching for the dictionary every few seconds! Instead, try and understand the general meaning of the text first and then re-read it for more detail. For words you don’t understand, try learning how to guess the meaning from the context. Look at the other words in the sentence; they will give you clues as to its meaning. Check to see if the English word is a verb, a noun or an adjective. The internet is full of stuff you can read and learn from.

Try keeping a diary; write something in English in it every day, even if it’s very simple. Start with small sentences and make them longer. Again, the internet is a great way to help. Try to make friends online, visit chat rooms, forums, or post comments on blogs. These are all useful tools for you to learn well from.

Writing gives you a good chance to review words you have learned in the past, and allows you the time to think about grammar as you write. Go back and review anything you might have written in the past,when your English was at a lower level, and try to find any mistakes you made.

Think about writing a short story or even a poem; if you have a teacher, he or she, will be happy to check it for you.

None of us want to make mistakes in front of others; however, your mistakes are very important and will actually help you learn English. The key is, not to be afraid to make mistakes. Don’t waste a chance to speak English because you were too nervous about making a mistake. This is especially true if you study in an English language school, teachers want to hear your mistakes, so they can correct them for you. Don’t be shy; be confident, having an ‘I can do it’ attitude will help you learn. Above all, try not to worry, learning English should be fun! The more fun you have, the easier you will learn!

Set yourself a goal and keep it in mind, it will motivate you to learn. For example, think about why you started to learn English. Do you need to learn English, to pass a test, for business, to travel or to watch movies? Whatever the reason, you’ll find that you work harder when you focus on a target. Choose a goal that you want to achieve and then create a time-frame to achieve it by. Plan what you want to be able to do with your English ability by this time next year or in six months. Make sure that your goal is realis and that you keep working towards it. It’s worth making plans to take an English test, so you have something very real you need to learn English for. Whatever you decide to do, don't give up!

In my opinion, every single person has her / his own way to learn English.

For me, the best way has always been watching films, cartoons, tv shows and certain tv channels  BBC or Sky news. Since I was little I watched cartoon network and despite I didn't understood a word I kept watching and now I see that it was a good thing to do :) About the films, in Portugal none of the films are translated but instead we have subtitles. That is a very good thing due to the fact that when you are younger you can associate the words said do the words on the subtitles (I always learned some new words!) and know I challenge myself by only listening to what they say and not read the subtitles!

The second good way to learn English is to write several times the new words we learn, for instance, when I learned the colours or the numbers or even the name of our clothes, the homework was to write each new word five or ten times!! This definetly helped me a lot!

A third good way to learn and practise our English is to talk with our friends or teacher in class! This way we can practise new vocabulary and at the same time we learn with the mistakes that we might say during our speech. And at the end we always say "I could have said that in a different and better way!".

Next advice is to read a lot, not only books but newspapers and magazines as well! There is so much good and new vocabulary in a book that we have no idea! That's why I try to read in English at every opportunity that I have! Even if I don't understand the meaning of that word, I can understand the meaning of the sentence and by that I can try and guess what that word really means!

Finnaly, the last but not the least, I would recomend all people learning English to go to England, to try to have a conversation with native speakers or even listen to them speak! Go shooping, go to the café, go to dinner, to a movie or even the theatre and you will see that this is for sure the best way to really learn English! You also will have the chance to discover a new culture and visit new places that you might not ever forget! 

Trước khi nói về cách tự học tiếng anh thế nào cho hiệu quả, thì mình muốn giới thiệu qua về tầm quan trọng của ngôn ngữ thông dụng nhất toàn cầu này. 3. Thực hiện: Nếu bạn đã hoàn thành được 2 bước đầu thì việc khó khăn cuối cùng chỉ là bạn hãy thực hiện và kiên trì với kế hoạch của mình. Bí quyết để thực hiện được việc khó khăn này là hãy luôn suy nghĩ tích cực và đặt niềm tin vào chính bản thân mình. Nguyên tắc thứ 1: Nghe trước

Nghe là nguyên tắc quan trọng nhất. Nghe, nghe, nghe. Bạn nên nghe tiếng anh 1 – 3 tiếng mỗi ngày hãy tiếp xúc với nó nhiều hơn trước khi bạn học. Điều đặc biệt là bạn nên nghe một thứ tiếng anh mà bạn có thể hiểu được có thể là từ các bài hát, hoặc các bộ phim trên HBO, Starmovie…Tránh nghe những bản tin BBC với đầy dãy những từ học thuật khó hiểu, việc nghe quá khó sẽ khiến bạn chán nản và có thể bỏ cuộc ngay tức khắc. Đây là chìa khóa đến với thành công trong học tiếng anh. Hãy học bằng tai, đừng học bằng mắt trong bước đi đầu tiên.

Nguyên tắc thứ 2: Không nên học các từ riêng biệt

Học các từ riêng biệt chính là con dao giết chết nghị lực học tiếng Anh giao tiếp của bạn về lâu về dài. Vì khi học một từ, bạn sẽ chỉ biết một từ. Và khi người khác học được 10 từ thì bạn vẫn chỉ biết có 1 từ. Điều này là nguyên nhân khiến bạn bị bỏ xa và khiến việc học của bạn không gặt hái được hiệu quả. Hãy ghi nhớ những nguyên tắc quan trọng sau:

Luôn luôn học đủ câu. Học đủ câu không những giúp bạn nhớ từ, nhớ ngữ pháp mà còn giúp bạn nhớ được ngữ cảnh sử dụng từ đó. Sẽ vông cùng hữu ích đó vì sự thực là có rất nhiều người học tiếng Anh lâu năm nhưng vẫn sử dụng từ sai ngữ cảnh.

Hãy sưu tập các nhóm từ. Học theo nhóm từ sẽ giúp bạn ghi nhớ và liên kết các từ nhanh chóng. Nó cũng giúp bạn tốt hơn trong việc học ngữ pháp. Khi học một từ, bạn sẽ học thêm từ đồng nghĩa, trái nghĩa và các từ loại khác liên quan, điều này sẽ hỗ trợ bạn trong kĩ năng viết rất nhiều.

Hãy làm một cuốn vở sưu tập nhóm từ, cả câu. Cuốn sổ nhỏ bên bạn mỗi ngày sẽ là cánh tay đắc lực hỗ trợ việc học của bạn mọi lúc mọi nơi: trên xe buýt, quán cafe, trên lớp,…

Tiếng Anh nói và ngữ pháp của bạn sẽ tốt lên nhanh gấp 4-5 lần. Bao giờ cũng nên viết cả một câu trọn vẹn.

Khi bạn tìm thấy bất cứ một từ mới nào, hãy viết cái câu có từ đó ở trong. Khi bạn ôn bài, luôn luôn ôn cả nhóm từ, cả câu, đừng ôn từ riêng biệt.

Sưu tầm và ôn lại các nhóm từ, các câu thường xuyên. Không bao giờ chỉ viết các từ riêng biệt, bao giờ cũng viết đủ nhóm từ và câu. Luôn luôn ôn lại các nhóm từ và câu.

Nguyên tắc thứ 3: Học sâu

Bí mật của việc nói một cách dễ dàng là học từ, nhóm từ và câu một cách chuyên sâu nhất. Để hiểu một định nghĩa, khái niệm là không đủ. Để nhớ cho các bài kiểm tra cũng là không đủ. Bạn phải đưa các từ ấy vào sâu trong trí não của bạn. Để nói tiếng Anh một cách dễ dàng, bạn phải ôn đi ôn lại các bài học rất nhiều lần.

Học chuyên sâu thế nào? Rất dễ – chỉ cần nhắc lại ôn lại các bài học hay nghe thành nhiều lần. Ví dụ: "Nếu bạn có những cuốn sách nghe (Đĩa chuyện), hãy lắng nghe chương một 30 lần trước khi nghe Chương hai. Bạn có thể nghe chương Một 3 lần mỗi ngày, trong vòng 10 ngày." Hãy tìm hiểu cặn kẽ về một câu, một từ hay một cấu trúc ngữ pháp. Thay vì chỉ học thuộc lòng nó, hãy học nó với nhiều dạng khác nhau, sử dụng nhiều ví dụ liên quan với mình nhất để ghi nhớ nó một cách sâu sắc nhất. Học ngữ pháp một cách chuyên sâu. Thế ngữ pháp thì sao? Bạn học chuyên sâu thế nào mà không cần học các nguyên tắc ngữ pháp? Tôi sẽ nói với bạn cách học ngữ pháp một cách tự nhiên. Hãy sử dụng phương pháp sau và ngữ pháp sẽ tiến bộ một cách tự động. Bạn sử dụng các cách sử dụng các thì động từ một cách tự động. Bạn không phải nghĩ. Bạn không phải thử.

Bạn phải học ngữ pháp bằng cách nghe tiếng anh thực thụ. Cách tốt nhất là nghe các câu chuyện được kể qua “thì” thời gian khác nhau: Quá khứ, hiện tại hoàn thành, hiện Tại, tương lai… Bạn làm thế nào? Đơn giản! Vấn đề nằm ở nơi bạn học và giáo trình mà bạn học. Sách giáo khoa tiếng anh và các đĩa CD đi kèm sẽ dạy bạn tiếng Anh theo một quy trình dài, nó chỉ thực sự phù hợp với những đứa trẻ, cần học bài bản ngay từ khi còn nhỏ. Còn đối với học tiếng Anh giao tiếp, sách giáo khoa chỉ cản trở bạn tiến xa mà thôi. Vì sách giáo khoa truyền đạt cho bạn một lối học tiếng Anh thụ động, bạn sẽ không cảm thấy thoải mái khi tiếp thu nó. Và tất nhiên, học thụ động không phải là phương pháp khả thi trong tiếng Anh giao tiếp. Bạn học tiếng Anh của sách giáo khoa. Làm sao để hiểu người bản ngữ? Để sử dụng thành thạo tiếng Anh, bạn cần thiết phải có một môi trường tiếng Anh để rèn luyện

Firstly, English is the international language. all of people in over the world are absolutely paying attention to improving four skill.because when we want to make friend with each other, we can communicate and write for each other.for me, i can widen relations with people in many countries.
Studing english helps me communicate more with foreigner. when i travel or visit some of my close relative in foreign country, i will be more confident to chat with them or some people do business with foreign countries, they can understand enough to exchange information with each other.Especially,it is important for people who are about to study abroad.
