Ok so let me tell you about the city where I was born and raised.

It is Da Nang city which is on the central coast and is one of the three biggest cities of Vietnam. 

When you come here, you will be amazed by the beautiful natural landscapes and the friendliness of our people. My city is well-known for being favored by nature. We have the green mountains surrounding the city in the west and a long fine-sand beach in the east, which offer tourists plenty of choices to see and to enjoy here. Besides, I believe that the cuisine will never let them down. There are plenty of delicacies that tourists can try like Hue noodle soup, Quang style noodles, fresh spring rolls with pork and salad, etc. 

Tourists who come to visit my city can hop on public buses for a city tour or even hire a motorbike and drive to some further destinations like the Hai Van pass, one of the greatest natural wonders according to Da Nang people.

My city is actually a perfect option for those who would like to settle down because real estate is kind of affordable at the moment. Moreover, the cost of living is relatively lower compared to Ho Chi Minh city or Hanoi city. Last but not least, the locals are friendly and helpful who will never hesitate to support the newcomers.

So that’s all I would like to say about my hometown. Thank you for your attention.

Nha Trang is one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam. The last time I came here was 1 year ago. Nha Trang is located in Khanh Hoa province. It takes 3 hours to get there by car from my house. It was a sunny day and my brother drove everyone along. We arrived in Nha Trang at 5pm. This place was wonderful. The scenery here makes me feel peaceful and gentle. Waves of waves, gentle sea breezes, long stretch of white sand and clear blue sea water. All of these were looking to paint a picture of a beautiful landscape. We stayed there 2 days and 3 nights. We rented rooms in a five-star hotel. Everything here is very comfortable. The cleanliness I like best in this hotel is the cleanliness. We have 4 people so we rented out 2 rooms. My dad and brother stay in one room. Me and my mother stay in one room. Every morning I get up early to go for a walk and watch the sunrise. After that, I will return to the hotel to have breakfast with everyone. Then we went to visit the small islands here. There are Tre Island, Monkey Island, and Yen Island. After going all over the islands we visited the Ponaga Cham Tower. The special architecture of the Cham structure has created this place. My family sunbathe together on the white sand beach and together enjoy glasses of fragrant coconut water. My brother and I play together in the sea water. With a beautiful beach, this place has a lot of tourists. If I have time I would love to be able to come back here again.

I have a breakfast is in the morning, a lunch is in the noon and a dinner is in the evening: In the morning, I often eat bread or rice and drinking fruit drink, sometimes I eat porridge. In the noon, I often eat rice with foods and in the evening, I eat rice with foods, too. I also eat snacks in the afternoon in everyday, I sometimes eat with my friends and we very happy. I always drinking milk at before go to bed in the evening. I also eat fruit, because they are delicious and nutritious.

My partner, Minh, has a quite unhealthy eating habits. He usually eats nothing in the morning if he has to go to school. Sometimes in the day off, he eats hamburgers and instant noodles, which are not good for health. During the day in the school, he often has fast foods and cocacola even for lunch. He said he likes fast foods and canned foods and always buy them in the supermarket. He also doesn’t eat vegetables and fish. He loves fried chicken and chips.

I have given him some advice and he has promised to try a new more healthy diet. I suggest he drink water instead of cocacola, eat much fish and vegetables. English is my favorite subject and also the one that I am good at, so many of my friends had asked me about the way to learn it properly. There is no compulsory method to study English, but each person has to find the suitable one in order to study it efficiently. I had discovered some of my own secret to learn it, and I had a big improvement since then. One of my hobbies is reading, and I choose English books to read in order to improve both my vocabulary and grammar. I read about the history, culture of England and the United States, novels of famous authors, and English news, all of them help me to gain a lot of new words as well as general knowledge. Besides, I never lose my interest in learning English because I know how to combine studying and entertaining. Instead of learning by hearts all the new words in boredom, I listen to English songs, watch English movies and try to translate the lyrics as well as the subtitle. By doing that, I know more about the different and the same things between English and Vietnamese, and it helps me to use English properly in each certain situation. I also connect with some international friends, and they are the best teacher to teach me about English. I can learn some slang, idioms, and things that normal teachers do not teach their students. Besides, my confidence in speaking English also increases since I spend time to talk on the phone with them. I feel that I have made more positive changes since I had my very own ways to learn English, and that is the reason why I think each of us should be creative in learning it.

Learning a new language is always a challenge for anyone, but learning English can become a harmonious combination of researching and entertainment if we are flexible. Besides stressful studying hours, we can still learn English even when we are entertaining. Learners can turn their hobbies such as reading, watching movies or listening to music into a powerful assistant in learning this language. While watching English movies, we can also listen to what the actors and actresses say in order to get familiar with the Western accent also as the way they use the sentence structure in a particular context. Next, we can learn more vocabulary and have a thorough understanding of grammar by reading English lyrics and books. On weekends, instead of playing games or hanging out with friends, we can spend some of our spare time to join the English clubs. These clubs provide an open English-communicating environment, enabling us to communicate confidently and recognize our mistakes. This can help us to be more interested in learning English, and talking to native speakers can encourage us to learn more about this language. In general, English is not too difficult for us to learn; however, we should know how to learn it properly in order to make the best use of it.
