Difference between self-obsession and self-interest:

   - Self-obsession refers to an excessive focus on oneself, often to the point of being narcissistic or egocentric. It involves an unhealthy preoccupation with one's appearance, achievements, or desires, often at the expense of others' well-being. People who are self-obsessed may lack empathy and consideration for others.

   - Self-interest, on the other hand, refers to a natural inclination to act in one's own best interest. It is the pursuit of personal gain or benefit without necessarily being selfish or disregarding the needs and feelings of others. Self-interest can be a healthy motivator for individuals to work towards their goals and take care of themselves while still being considerate of others.

Difference between persistence and perseverance:

   - Persistence is the quality of continuing to pursue a goal or task despite obstacles, difficulties, or failures. It involves a determined effort and a willingness to work through challenges. A persistent person may try different approaches or strategies to achieve their objective, but the focus is on the goal itself.

   - Perseverance is similar to persistence but has a slightly different nuance. Perseverance is the ability to maintain consistent effort over a long period, often in the face of adversity or discouragement. It emphasizes endurance and a commitment to a goal or value, even when progress may be slow or setbacks occur. Perseverance is about not giving up, no matter how tough the circumstances may be.
