The Earth is our home, but it seems that we do not do enough necessary things to protect it. People cut down the trees, kill thousands of animals, and dig up the ground every day. All of our actions create only negative influences on the Earth, and I think we should do something to save it before it is too late. It is not hard for us to cut off products from animals. We do not need to use accessories which are made from animals’ skin and fur, and we should not use things that are made from toxic materials. The oceans now have more trash than living animals, and it is a terrible thing to imagine. We should reduce the amount of trash, especially plastic and toxic waste. Instead, we can use recycled things such as clothes, metal, or wood in our daily life. Everyone can join by doing such small things, and I think it is not very difficult. Environment is everything around us and what we need to maintain our life, so our priority should be keeping it clean and healthy.

With the pace of population growth and industrial zones, the environment has considerably been damaged. From a little green grass to the large oceans, the environment is everything surrounding us. However, the environment is in danger and polluted because of human activities, which raises a lot of concerns for every country in the world. Poaching wild animals, releasing pollutants before treatment, over abusing fossil fuels, etc. are all damages caused by the human. These actions are threatening the ozone layer and causing a terrible effect named climate change that leads to a lot of disasters every year such as flood, drouth, hurricane, forest fire, etc. Besides, environmental pollution is one of the main reasons bringing about many serious diseases related to the respiratory system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, etc. Therefore, protecting the environment is not a mission of a certain country, that is a mission of everyone all around the world instead. Each person can change the world by their responsible actions such as saying “no” with plastic bags, joining campaigns for protecting wildlife, using renewable resources, planting trees, preserving biodiversity, etc. In short, protecting the environment is not only protecting our health or the planet but also saving our next generations.

I usually hear in the everyday news about pollution, and that makes me have awareness in protecting and keeping the environment clean. We can help save the Earth by doing small things, and I am sure that everyone can do that. I always limit the amount of water that I use daily, and I try to reuse the water as much as I can. I also turn on electronics devices only when I am really in need, and I always remember to turn them off before I leave. I choose to use the fan instead of the air conditioner on mild days, and I use the natural light to replace the bulb when it is not dark outside. I do not use plastic cups or dishes even if I have a party, and I have a bag to keep on the goods I buy at the markets instead of using plastic bags. They are just small easy habits that I can always do in my daily life, and there is no reason why people cannot do the same to save the Earth.

Each person contributes a little bit of effort, but it will be enough to improve the current environmental condition. From there we will have a cleaner and cleaner living environment.
