Mooncake is a kind of desert that is enjoyed in the Mid-Autumn Festival. It has the name "Mooncake" because it is round like the full moon. The mooncake is baked into round shapes, but varies in sizes and the varied ingredients based on different areas’ interpretation such as : mung bean, salted egg, mixed and so on...The traditional mooncake is commonly made with a thin crust, thick sweet filling from lotus seed paste, and contains two yolks from salted duck eggs. The round mooncake is not only a delicacy and dessert enjoyed, but it emphasizes the special importance that Vietnamese people attach to family reunion.
