VI. Ba is a student from Vinh city, Nghe An. Read the following passage about eating habits in his city and answer the questions below.

A. People in my city love good food and they often eat three meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. At about 7:00 in the morning, they usually have a light breakfast with a bowl of pho or eel soup with some slices of toast. Sometimes they have a bowl of instance noodles or a plate of sticky rice before going to work. Lunch often starts at about 11:30, and most of them have lunch at home. They often have rice, fish, meat and vegetables for lunch. Dinner often starts at about 7:30 in the evening. It is the main meal of the day. People in my city often have rice with a lot of fresh vegetables and a lot of seafood or various kind of meat. Then, they often have some fruit and a glass of green tea. I think, food in my city is wonderful. It is light and full of fresh vegetables. It’s healthy and very tasty, too.

B. Cao Lau is traditional Hoi An food. Visitors to Hoi An always remember Cao Lau, which was considered by Quang Nam people as a special symbol for Hoi An. Cao Lau noodles are carefully made from local new sticky rice. Water used to soak rice must be taken from wells in the Ba Le Village; noodles thus will be soft, enduring and flavored with special sweet-smelling. On the Cao Lau noodles were some meat slices mixed with fat made from fried noodles served with vegetables and bean sprouts. Sharp-witted eaters would find out the specific flavor of the dish. Dry pancakes used as ingredient must be thick with much sesame on the surface. Greasy coconut quintessence and bitter green cabbage are also indispensable. The so-called genuine Cao Lau Hoi An must satisfy all above requirements.
