Halloween is a holiday celebrated on October 31st. The most common colors of the day are orange and black. Halloween comes from the ancient Cel festival Samhain.
The ancient Celts believed that on October 31st, now known as Halloween, the boundary between the living and the deceased is not clear, and the dead become dangerous for the living by causing problems such as sickness or damaged crops.
On Halloween, the ancient Celts would place a skeleton by their window to represent the dead. Believing that the head was the most powerful part of the body, containing the spirit and knowledge, the Celts used the "head" of the vegetable to decorate their houses.
On this day people often wear strange clothes as characters in horrible novels or movies to frighten others.
People usually to dress as ghosts, skeletons, or witches. Now Halloween is an official holiday in almost all European countries.

Halloween is a festival which takes place on 31st October and we all know that it’s a very popular festival in Western countries. However, it’s been gaining its popularity in Asian countries Vietnam. Over 2000 years ago, people believed that on the night of 31st October evil spirits went through the boundaries between the world of the living and the dead to cross to the world of the living. Therefore, people were very scared about this, so they wore handmade masks and scary costumes, decorated their houses with things jack-o-lanterns, skulls and skeletons to disguise themselves from the spirits so that they wouldn’t harm them. In addition, on Halloween, children will go “trick or treating”, they go to many houses and ask for candies from adults. All in all, people have a great time together during the Halloween festival.

Halloween is celebrated in some countries on October 31st of every year. It is a time to remember the saints (hallows) martyrs and the good people who died. Halloween activities include carving the pumpkins, telling scary stories and watching horror movies. The most common activity in Halloween is when the kids go (Trick or Treat) and have costume parties. In this activity, the kids dress up in many different costumes. After that, they go door to door knocking on people’s doors in their neighborhood. Hence, people prepare themselves for the kids knocking on their doors so they buy lots of sweets and candies. In addition, children knock on doors and say “Trick or Treat”. When the kids get a candy or a sweet they leave happy. On the other hand, if they don’t get a good treat they may show some tricks.

Halloween, also known as All Hallows Eve, is associated with a number of activities. One of them is the prace of harmless pranks. Celebrants, especially children, wear masks and costumes for parties and for trick-or-treating go from house to house with the threat that they will pull a trick if they do not receive a treat, usually candy. They often disguise themselves as witches, vampires or mummies,… Another preferred activity is watching horror movies with families and friends at home. In addition, you can also join some Halloween costume parties or visit some haunted houses, the latter is only for brave people, honestly. During Halloween, I usually go out because I the vibrant ambiance on the street. I love seeing people running around with jack-o-lanterns on their hands and a big smile on their face.
