Part 1. Read the passage and do the following tasks.
When you establish good relationships with your neighbors, you have lots of benefits. The community will be friendly and the area will become a comfortable place to live. The following ways to be a good neighbor might be useful for you.
Firstly, you should introduce yourself when you are new in the neighborhood or new residents have just moved in. Whenever you have a chance, you can say hello, offer a gift (for example, a homemade pie) and ask about the local area. It is good to spend time communicating with your neighbors.
For example, you ask about where the nearest supermarket is. Secondly, you have to consider your neighbors’ lifestyle. For example, if they work nights, quiet mornings will be important for them. If they have young children, quiet evenings will be very important to them. Next, you should care about rubbish of your house because it can attract insects and other pests. You should keep your trash area clean. You also have to wash your rubbish bins when they begin to smell.
