A few years ago, I volunteered at Meals from the Heartland. Meals from the Heartland is a non-profit organization that packs and ships meals to the local and global people who are in need. Each volunteer works a two-hour shift. During the shift, the volunteers form a production line and pack the meals. First, rice is put in a small baggie. Then, it is followed by the vitamines and veggies. At the end of the line, the bag is air sealed to keep the food stay fresh.
