I like living in the countryside because of some reasons. Environmentally speaking, it is a peaceful place. The air is fresh. The space is quiet. We can enjoy healthy natural conditions without worrying much about environmental pollution.

As for social security, the countryside is a safer place than a city. While urban security situation is always complicated with all kinds of crimes, rural areas are much more secure because most of countrymen are friendly and ready to help one another.

Moreover, rural life is also easier that in cities. People in cities are easy to get stressed because of pollution, job pressures, competitions, etc ... On the contrary, those bad things are very rare in the countryside. To sum up, except income matters, the countryside is a better residence than cities.

I live in Dong Nai, a new rural areas of the South Vietnam. I live in a small house with my family. My house is small but it is very beautiful and comfortable. From my bedroom I can see a lot of melaleuceu trees. It takes 15 minutes to go to my schoool. I go to school by motorbike. The facilities in my neighborhood are schools, market, shops, bookstore and so on. I like bookstore best becaus I can buy comics to read, books to learn and of course there has a lot of souvenirs.

I live in Hue, a beautiful city in the Central of Viet Nam. Our home town is small and still poor, but it has enough facilities such as schools, hospitals, supermarkets, movie theatres, hotels, restaurants, stadiums, swimming-pools and so on. The thing makes me love my home town best is its charming beauty at night, especially on moon nights. The city looks more peaceful and poetic in the moonlight.

My family and I live in a small house beside the Huong River. My house is small but very comfortable. My room overlooks the river, so it’s very cool in the summer.

My school is I he most beautiful and famous of all in Hue. I don't live far from it, so it takes me only 15 minutes to ride there.

There are many difference between the life in city and country. Someone tell me he liked the life in country because he wanted to ẹnoy the fresh air, natural sence and people in country was very nice, friendly. To me, one of my best friends is A. A is only over eighteen but he is well developed; so he is thought to be twenty or more. He has black hair, a broad forehead, a straight nose and bright eyes. He is very good-looking. He has a kind heart and is easy to get on with everybody. We have been friends for a very long time. The deeper our mutual understanding becomes the more we feel closely attached to each other. “Birds of a feather flock together”, A and I are keen on learning. We are the best pupils in our class. A is always at the top. He is good at every subject, but he never shows pride in his abilities and always tries to learn harder.

A’s family is not rich enough. His parents are retired workers. Realizing the hardships of his parents, although he is absorbed in his study, he often spends most of his spare time doing useful things to help his parents in their old age. He gets up early in the morning to have enough time to deliver newspapers to subscribers before going to school. After school in the afternoon, he repairs bicycles and motorbikes. Therefore the money he gets from his manual job is sufficient for his school fees and for his parents’ presents. I like A very much because of his honesty and straight forwardness. He is always ready to help his weak friends in their study; as a result, lots of friends, thanks to his whole-hearted help, have become good ones.

In my relation with A, I have got precious experience: thirst for learning, patience to overcome difficulties, helpfulness and filial piety.

Hello . Today I will introduce you to a very close friend of mine. His name is A. He has dark brown skin with two crooked teeth. We studied together in junior high school. Around that time, we have had unforgettable memories. A is a very good student and he always helps his classmates, which makes me very proud. I wish A and A could be friends for the rest of my life .

The house I am living in is situated in the suburb of Hanoi city, within thirty minutes drive off the city center. We have lived there for more than twenty years. This is a fairly large house surrounded with a beautiful garden.

My house consists of four bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom with a shower, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned and well-furnished. The living-room is decorated beautifully. Paintings by famous artists are hung on the walls. At night, the color neon lights increase the beauty and coziness of the room. There, on Sundays and holidays my father usually spends his time playing chess or drinking tea with his friends. My mother and my younger sisters are kind and hard-working women. They often keep the house clean and tidy.

On hot days of summer, we usually take meals in the garden, under a big tree. It is fairly cool and quiet here. We enjoy our meals in the melodious twitters of birds. On stormy and rainy nights, all family members gather in the living-room, watching television or telling each other about their daily activities.

I love my house very much because it is the place where I was born and have grown up in the education of my father and in the tender loving care of my mother. I have spent my whole childhood in the love and affection of my dear ones with so many sweet memories.

I was born in a poor family!My family has 5 people,my Dad and Mom,My elder sister ,my elder brother and me! i like living in a countryside,because the atmosphere is very pure,there are many trees with a lots of nice sences as grassland with buffaloes are grazing,many paddy field with hard-working farmers and many gentle rivers......

.....I have just passed an university entrane examination so i must move to city to going on my studying! I have to leave my countryside which make me so sad!!!

the life in the city has both advantages and disadvantages......i can come to school faster by bus, motobike...i can get everything i like without going so far...everything is available!

but there are also somes disadvantages. i can't stand suffering from air-pollution,noise,jam traffice as well as somes suddenly accidents.....they're so terrible! it's difficult to fine a quiet place to relax !everywhere is busy!
