Talk is a story from Africa. In it a man is tending his yams when one talks to him. Soon several common things around his farm have spoken to him and he takes off running. He meets a fisherman, who, upon hearing the story has his fishing trap talk to him. They both run and meet a weaver. They relate their tale and the weaver's cloth speaks. The farmer, the fisherman and the weaver continue running and find a man standing in the river and the river talks to them. All four of them take off running and come to the chief. The chief sits down to listen and sends them all away. When they are gone, the chief's stool says that it is an amazing story about a talking yam.
My favorite folktale is HERCULES.Hercules was the main character and he is the son of the God of Lightning ‘ZEUS.’Hercules was strong, brave and a great ruler and he fought bravely without any fear and finally as we all know won.Hercules didn’t have any special powers but he was granted strength from his father Zeus every time he was a weak as a dead person and then he would fight back and win.Hercules’s world was of the era when the Gods and the Kings used to reside and the Kings thought of themselves as Gods so we all know what sort of world Hercules lived in, a cruel one…Advertisements
My favourite fairy tale is "Three Billy Goats Gruff", mainly because every person from my country has heard the tale.
Short story shorter, three goat brothers want to cross a bridge to get to the field on the other side. Unfortunately for them there lives a hungry troll beneath the bridge.
The first goat to cross is the youngest and smallest, the troll wants to eat him. The goat convinces him to let him pass and eat his larger elder brother instead. The troll accepts this and lets him pass.
The second goat to cross is the middle one, the troll wants to eat him. Like the first goat, he too manages to convince the troll to eat his larger elder brother instead. He crosses the bridge and join his younger brother.
Now the third and eldest goat tries to cross the bridge. He first tries to pass the troll, but the troll doesn't buy his bullshit and attacks. In retaliation the goat gores the troll's eyes out and pushes him off the bridge into the river bellow.The eldest goat then joins his brothers in the field. The live happily ever after.
