Nhiều nhà hảo tâm muốn giúp đỡ cậu bé có chiếc xe mới, ủng hộ gia đình Chiến tiền chạy chữa cho con trai. Nhưng điều đáng quý nhất trong câu chuyện của Chiến chính là những con người tốt bụng, xa lạ đã giúp đỡ Chiến trên chuyến xe đưa cậu bé về Hà Nội an toàn.

Chuyến xe ấy là câu chuyện về lòng nhân văn, là hành trình trái tim ấm áp tình người!

Trên chuyến xe ấy, dù chẳng ai quen Vì Quyết Chiến nhưng họ hỏi han, đưa cậu bé đến điểm cuối. Nhà xe còn mua bánh, nước cho cậu bé ăn uống, liên lạc với bố của Chiến. Chắc hẳn ai nấy trên xe đều kinh ngạc khi cậu bé chẳng có gì ngoài chiếc xe đạp mất phanh, đôi dép mòn chảy do phanh xe, bàn chân xước xát, trên người không tiền, không điện thoại… Tài xế xe khách kể: Trời tối, tôi thấy cậu bé nhỏ nhắn vẫy xe, ban đầu tôi tưởng cậu bé đùa nên đi qua. Nhưng rồi, tôi dừng lại, cầm đèn pin xuống hỏi cậu bé và không tin nói câu chuyện của em. Lúc vẫy xe cũng là lúc em đã quá đói và không thể tiếp tục hành trình. Nếu chiếc xe không dừng lại, có lẽ câu chuyện của Chiến đã sang một hướng khác.
