School subjects and national curriculum

You will study lots of different subjects both at primary and secondary school. These subjects follow the national curriculum. This is a programme of education designed by the government to make sure everyone is taught the same things and to the same standards in all schools in England. The usual subjects are:

Physical education (PE)

Boys and girls must take part in physical education both in primary and secondary schools. Most schools will ask you to wear a PE kit, which is a set of clothes chosen by the school for this activity. It often includes wearing a T-shirt, shorts or jogging bottoms.

If you are worried about privacy when you change your clothes for PE, or whether the PE kit covers your body enough, please talk to your form tutor (in a secondary school) or your class teacher (in a primary school).

School meals

At most schools you can choose between having school dinner or packed lunch.

School dinners are often freshly prepared in school and children can choose from a selection of healthy meals. You may be able to have free school meals, for example if your parents or carers are asylum seekers, receive job-seekers allowance, income support, employment and support allowance, etc.

School uniform

Children and young people wear a uniform in most primary and secondary schools. You can find information about the uniform from the school website.

School uniform items, e.g. dresses, trousers, shirts and shoes, can be bought cheaply from most supermarkets.

Secondary school uniforms are similar to primary schools, but sometimes school blazers with the school logo on the pocket are also worn. Some schools are very strict about their uniform policies and others are more relaxed. Sometimes schools have second-hand uniforms available to buy, especially more expensive items like blazers.

Assembly and religious education

During assembly, there are often prayers or religious music, usually of Christian faith.

You will probably also have at least one religious education (RE) lesson a week. RE should cover the main religious faiths. Some schools may spend a substantial amount of time on Christianity.

Your parents have got the right to ask that you not not attend assembly and/or religious education. If you are over 16 you have the right to decide yourself not to attend. For more information,

If you're always honest, a parent will be likely to believe what you say. If you sometimes hide the truth or add too much drama, parents will have a harder time believing what you tell them. If you lie, they'll find it hard to trust you.

My mother , she is the best woman in my life. I love her . I please her very much _because she create me and grow me up. She teach me how to become a good person. She always yell me(and that is the only thing i hate her ). But u know , she just take care of me. Every day , she always tell me that words :" Did you take your medicine ? Did you drink milk? Do you know what time is it now?..........." Yah ! If you are me , i think you 'll very tired. But i studied a lesson from a story that :" You are a happy child if you have mother and sad for who don't have mọther "

I love my mother very much too. But I can't stand her when she gets angry. And the reasons were so stupid. It makes me angry too. Such as yesterday, she had me iron her clothes for her to work, and I did it. I played game and studied english late at night - about 11h30 or 12h30. She only see me when I play but she don't see me study, and she shout at me. At that time I knew my mistake so I didn't answer anything. But this morning, she shout at me that I had not iron the clothes well, and some of them were not ironed. I got angry soon because it took me more than 10 mins yesterday to iron them. there r five shirts, but I only ironed 4 'cos she had brought one downstair before I take them to iron. And it was not all my mistake, I answered angrily and went to school quickly after 5s. And she always shouts at me 'cos I'm not wake up by myself but in fact, I always wake up by myself because I always set up the clock before going to bed. Just sometimes I'm too tired and I want to have more 5mins to sleep....
But she is still my mother and I still love her.

In the neighborhood, I am cherish Ha uncle, who leads of the neighborhood children. Bac Ha is 50 years old, he opened a grocery store near my house . He is tall, bright eyes and mood fun . He is very harmonious, interested people, especially for my family. When he is free, he talk with my family and tell me hear interesting tales. People are both love him because he is making mint gentle and kind neighbor

My school

There is a white three-storey building, surrounded by greenery, located at Simei Town Central. That is Simei Primary School. That is also the place where I have schooled for the last five years or so.

My school uniform is white. The boys wear a white shirt and white shorts while the girls wear a white blouse and skirt. The uniform must always be worn with the school badge which bears our school motto “Nothing without labor”. It means that we must be willing to work to get our reward. We are also taught to be honest and polite all the time.

Most of the teachers in my school are just and kind. However, there are some teachers who show favoritism. As a result, the students who are favored by these teachers are very proud and like to bully the others. In general, however, we all treat one another like siblings and live in harmony.

I am sad that I will have to leave my school at the end of this year. It has given me knowledge, friends and happy moments. I will always remember my school and the fond memories it holds.

“Người mẹ điên”, một câu chuyện đời thực ướt đẫm nước mắt, tôi đã đọc, đọc thật chậm…thật chậm, từng diễn biến của câu chuyện đã đánh thẳng vào tâm trí và tình cảm của tôi, những giọt nước mắt lăn dài trên má…cứ tuôn … cứ tuôn … tôi chẳng hay rằng mình đã khóc …

Câu chuyện gợi ra khung cảnh về một vùng quê nghèo khó, một vùng quê có những hủ tục, có những người mẹ chồng gia trưởng, có những con người cứ tưởng rằng trái tim họ hóa đá nhưng vẫn đầy cảm xúc tình người. Cuộc đời mẹ điên chẳng ngày nào được sung sướng, tôi muốn trách tất cả những người trong câu chuyện, trách cái làng quê nghèo đã hắt hủi người mẹ điên, trách bài nội Thụ đã có những toan tính và đối xử thiếu tình người với mẹ, trách cha Thụ nhu nhược, và trách Thụ vì đã xem mẹ mình chỉ là một con điên vô dụng, cư xử với mẹ như một kẻ thù … Thế rồi khi nhìn lại, tôi mới hiểu ra và không muốn trách ai nữa…Vì đâu mà bà nội Thụ phải làm thế? Tất cả chỉ vì cái nghèo, cái hủ tục của vùng quê Trung Quốc, nó luôn đi liền với khó lấy vợ cho con, bà nội đã làm thế bởi bà thương con trai bà, bởi bà lo sợ rằng mẹ điên không biết nuôi con, sẽ lên cơn và vứt bỏ Thụ bất cứ lúc nào, vì dù sao mẹ cũng chỉ là một người đàn bà điên mà thôi …Ngay cả Thụ, Thụ cũng thế, tôi không trách Thụ nữa, vì tôi đã hiểu được những thái độ và hành động đó, nó xuất phát từ sự thất vọng ghê gớm về người mẹ mà Thụ chưa bao giờ nghĩ rằng đó là một người điên, nếu là bạn, bạn cũng sẽ thôi. Bất cứ ai trong mỗi chúng ta, khi còn bé nếu có một người mẹ điên vừa bẩn thỉu, vừa vô dụng giống như Thụ, chắc hẳn bạn cũng sẽ đối xử với mẹ mình như Thụ mà thôi … có mấy ai hiểu được cái tình cảm thiêng liêng và cao cả nhất của người mẹ điên dành cho con mình đâu ? Và tôi… tôi cũng thế …

Cứ ngỡ rằng Thụ sẽ chẳng bao giờ nhận mẹ, đến tiếng gọi “mẹ” Thụ cũng chẳng bao giờ cất lên dù chỉ là trong tâm trí, sự khinh bỉ mẹ mình khi không biết phân biệt đâu là cỏ, đâu là lúa luôn luôn hiện diện trong suy nghĩ lỗi lầm của Thụ. Thụ đã sai khi thốt lên một câu nói bất hiểu với mẹ mình: “cỏ với lúa mà cũng chả phân biệt được, mày đúng là lợn!” đau lòng thay khi Thụ chẳng nhận ra rằng mình cũng không biết đâu là tình mẫu tử và đâu là sự khinh bỉ người điên – chi tiết này mang ý nghĩa nghệ thuật vô cùng sâu sắc. Nhưng càng về cuối câu chuyện, Thụ đã thay đổi ý nghĩ, đến cách cư xử với mẹ Thụ cũng thay đổi hẳn, tiếng gọi “mẹ” cũng đã cất lên trong tâm trí và cả lời nói, Thụ cảm nhận được một tình yêu mãnh liệt của người mẹ điên dành cho con trai mình, mẹ luôn sẵn sàng làm bất cứ việc gì cho con, chẳng màng gian nan cực khổ, bất chấp nguy hiểm hay phải hi sinh cả mạng sống của mình cho con, mẹ cũng làm! – mặc dù những hành động đó, có thể chỉ xuất phát trong vô thức. Một câu nói làm tôi nhớ mãi: “Và thật kì lạ, hể bất cứ việc gì làm vì con trai, mẹ đều không điên tí nào. Ngoài tình mẫu tử ra, tôi không còn cách giải thích nào khác.” Thế đấy, tình yêu của mẹ luôn tỉnh táo, một người mẹ điên có thể đi bộ hàng chục cây số, xuyên nắng, xuyên tuyết, xuyên cái rét thấu đến tận xương để mang thức ăn cho con mình suốt 3 năm trời ròng rã …

Nhưng cuối cùng thì sao … một kết cục đau đớn đến với mẹ …Mẹ sống mà không một ngày được hưởng sung sướng, chịu đựng mọi sự khổ cực vì con, đến chết cũng vì con. Tim tôi như thắt lại khi đọc từng dòng chữ diễn tả cái chết của mẹ: “Mẹ nằm yên tĩnh dưới khe núi, những trái đào dại vương ***** xung quanh, trong tay mẹ còn nắm chặt một quả, máu trên người mẹ đã cứng lại thành đám màu đen nặng nề” – Ông trời ơi sao lại nhẫn tâm đến thế, có quá bất công không, khi một người mẹ suốt đời chỉ biết sống vì con mình lại phải nhận một cái chết thảm thương như thế ! Cái chết tức tưỡi của mẹ, cũng là cái cảm giác mà tôi như “chết lặng” đi …

Tình mẫu tử – một tình cảm thân thuộc nhất của mỗi chúng ta, nhưng có mấy ai nhận ra điều đó, thứ tình cảm thiêng liêng nhất luôn được đề cao hơn bao giờ hết. Danh dự và sự nghèo khó có thể ngăn cản, nhưng chẳng thể nào ngăn cản mãi được, bởi dây yêu thương giữa mẹ và con là không thể nào đứt. Một điều đơn giản thế mà giờ đây cũng có những người không nhận ra, thật đáng xấu hổ cho những kẻ chà đạp lên một tình yêu thiêng liêng nhất đời người.

My favourite subject in school is English. It is quite easy and pleasant to study it. English is used in each field of life and it is useful to know it.

Most of web sides are in English. It is nice to be able to use such a sides like yahoo, msn and english Wikipedia. I can get a lot of information and news, which are not available on polish sides.

I can use english books and magazines. Sometimes I like to download e-books and magazines in pdf. It is effectively way to study English in home. Using English I can communicate with many peoples. I can use Skype and ICQ to talk and chat and get new contacts. I can use many applications and play games. I have used Windows XP and Office for two months and it was quite easy. Most of movies are in English. I like to watch them without subtitles. If I can I always switch the polish dubbing off ? I hate it.

The last advantage to know English is I can talk with all people talking English. This holidays when I was in Gdańsk somebody asked all people: ?Do you speak English?? Everybody talked ?No? and ?Nie wiem o co chodzi.?. When she came to me and asked the question ?Do you speak English?? I could say ?Yes, how can I help you?? She told ?How can I get to the bus station?? I told ?Can you see this building? The station is behind it. Please go this way?. She smiled to me and walked away. I was happy that I could help.

As you can see English is useful in life. All of us study it in everyday situations and activities. The language is quite simple and logic. I use it all the time. This is why I like English and it is my favourite subject in school
