Pros and Cons of Self-Study

Independent learning is becoming increasingly popular and often involves self-study. Self-study allows learners to study at their own pace and on their own schedule, without the need for a teacher or mentor. However, like everything else in life, self-study has both its advantages and disadvantages.

Firstly, self-study gives learners the freedom to decide what to study and how. It also promotes responsibility by allowing learners to set their own goals and make plans to achieve them. Secondly, self-study can make learners more confident in their abilities to complete tasks independently. Finally, self-study can be a cost-effective alternative to traditional education, as learners can save money on tuition and other expenses.

On the other hand, learners may struggle to learn things on their own and may need more time to understand concepts without the guidance of a teacher. Additionally, learners may not develop certain life skills, such as good communication and relationship skills. Finally, learners may not learn practical skills if they focus too much on learning academic skills.

In conclusion, self-study has both pros and cons. Learners should understand both and find a balance between the two. As education is changing all the time, it is important for learners to get used to the challenges of self-study and take advantage of the benefits it offers.

Cyberbullying has become a serious issue nowadays because of the widespread use of social media and the internet among young people. It can have a severe impact on students' mental health, leading to low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. We would like to propose a school campaign against cyberbullying to raise awareness among students and create a safe and inclusive environment.

The campaign events/activities will take place in the school throughout the academic year. The campaign will last for three months, starting in September and ending in November. Everyone who is interested, including victims of cyberbullying, parents, teachers, and local community organizations or experts on cyberbullying, will participate in the campaign.

The campaign will target all students in the school, from primary to secondary. The main events/activities will include talks about cyberbullying, workshops on online safety and responsible online behavior, and inviting students to share their experiences of cyberbullying in a safe and supportive environment.

Goals and benefits of the campaign:

The campaign aims at raising awareness about cyberbullying and its effects on individuals and the community. It will empower students to take a stand against cyberbullying and promote a culture of respect and kindness. The campaign will provide resources and support for students who have experienced cyberbullying. It will also strengthen the school's anti-bullying policies and procedures to prevent cyberbullying and respond effectively to incidents. The campaign will foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students, both online and offline.

Conclusion:

We hope that you will consider our proposal for a school campaign against cyberbullying. We believe that this campaign will have a significant impact on students' lives and create a safer and more inclusive school environment. Thank you for your consideration.

In my opinion, the concern that teenagers spend too much time on social media is valid. While social media can be a useful tool for communication and staying connected with friends, it can also be addictive and take up too much time that could be spent on other activities.

One solution to this problem is for parents to set limits on their children's screen time and encourage them to engage in other activities such as sports, hobbies, and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, schools could educate students about responsible social media use and the negative effects of spending too much time on it.

Another solution is for social media companies to implement features that encourage users to take breaks and limit their time on the platform. For example, Instagram recently introduced a feature that shows users how much time they spend on the app each day and allows them to set a time limit.

Overall, while social media can be a valuable tool for communication and connection, it is important for teenagers to balance their time spent on it with other activities and for parents and schools to play an active role in encouraging responsible use.

Social media has become an integral part of teenagers' lives, and many people argue that they spend too much time on these platforms. I believe this concern is valid. Excessive social media use can lead to negative effects such as reduced attention spans, decreased face-to-face interactions, and an increased risk of mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Teenagers may also become overly focused on creating a perfect online image, which can lead to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem.

To address this issue, both parents and educators should encourage a more balanced approach to social media use. Setting reasonable limits on screen time and promoting offline activities like sports, reading, and hobbies can help. Schools could also incorporate digital literacy programs that teach students about the impact of social media and the importance of maintaining a healthy balance. Ultimately, it’s important to guide teenagers towards using social media responsibly, ensuring it complements their lives rather than dominates them.

In my opinion, comparing children's experiences today to those of their parents is not a good idea. Although parents may have good intentions, this approach can have negative effects on children's confidence and self-esteem. Children may feel pressured to live up to their parents' expectations, leading to feelings of inadequacy and frustration. Furthermore, each generation is influenced by changes in society, making it difficult for parents and children to fully understand each other's way of thinking. Instead of comparisons, parents should focus on building a positive and supportive relationship with their children, which includes good communication and spending quality time together. They can also set good examples of behavior and explain why certain behaviors are desirable. Children are more likely to learn and internalize positive behaviors when they are taught in a supportive and positive environment, rather than through comparisons that can be damaging to their confidence and self-esteem.

I like a modern city life, where I can expand everything in the future. However, everything has both good sides and bad ones. City is a place where life has always become modern and freedom. In there, there are many up-to-date houses and streets are often crowded. We can go shopping and buy everything what we need. If we are sick, we can go to the best hospital or find to the own doctors. Moreover, we can receive education in schools, colleges and universities. There are many entertainments such as parks, museums and so on. Additionally, people in the city approach much informations from social media, adverting. On the other hand, city life is very fast and busy. Everybody always try their best for a better life, a better luck and a better opportunity. Although the city has modern vehicles, it make air pollution. It is a significant contributor to the degration of life quality. I think we should have many solutions to take to tackle these important problems.

Nowaday, the life is modern. Smart phones and computers are very popular and they appear all around us. Using smart phones is a necessary part of many students' life. We can use them for relaxing, connecting and especially studying. Students can learn in the Internet, search information for their lessons,... Using smart phones can solve many problems quickly and easily. But, there is a problem. Some students mostly use smart phones to relax and spend less time studying. They concentrate on the smart phones instead of keeping their eye on learning.

If students were allowed to use smart phones, learning would be easier . Unless they were banned to use smart phones, they could be focus on learning. Anyway, I think smart phones shouldn't be banned. Although it makes students can't be focus on the lessons, It helps them a lots in relaxing at break time and studying. We've also got some suitable rules such as: not using phones while you are studying, just use them at break time,...

The rules not only help students be focus on learning, but also study effectively.

Smartphones should not be banned as they help students to read and research. However, smartphones are also a major distraction to the students. Statistical data shows that 83% of students own a smartphone and 50% of them use them to do school work daily. This shows that majority of the students use their smartphones to help them in their studies, But the remaining 33% of them use their smartphones to surf the internet or to keep up with trends on social media such as instagram and facebook, which is a huge distraction to students' studies as their minds would be comstantly comcentrated on wanting schlol to end so that they can go onto social media. Therefore, smartphones should not be banned as they help majority of the students in their school work despite being a distraction to them.

Thanks to advanced technology, cell phones have become more and more popular in our life. From my point of view, cell phones have improved modern life. First and foremost, cell phones are a good means of communication. Thanks to them, people can keep in touch with their family, their relatives and their friends regardless of the distances. For example, only by a cell phone can you daily talk to or chat with your friends who live very far away from you. In the second place, cell phones are also good for every angle in life. Thanks to its small size, people can take them everywhere at anytime. For example, in business, people can make a deal with their countership by a video chat on a cell phone rather than have a meeting face to face. This is very convient especially for their partner living abroad. Moreover, cell phones are a necessary for people’s entertainment. To illustrate, after a busy day at work or at school, they can listen to music or play games or watch a movie, as a result, they may feel more relaxed and more energetic to many things such as doing housework, homework and so on later. Last but not least, it is estimated that almost all of the people who use cell phones are teenegers. Therefore, no one can deny that cell phones have minute by minue become an indispensable in teenegers’ routine. In reality, cell phones help teenagers to study better and better. For example, before an exam, instead of being up to all night to reivise so many lessons they had studied, teenagers can benefit greatly from cell phones. They can try on some tests on Internet, search for information they want or look into some parts in the lessons which they don’t take in too much. Seeing that the speed of Internet is very fast, students can acquire a lot of knowledge in a very convient way. While I appreciate the advantages of the cell phones, I think that they also have some drawbacks including having bad effects on people’s mind, causing some diseases and so on. All in all, it is immediately obvious that cell phones make out life more and more modern, hence people should take them into consideration to make our life better and better
