Sushi is a Japanese dish of rice mixed with vinegar (shari) combined with other ingredients (neta). Neta and sushi presentation are varied, but the main ingredients of all sushi are shari. Neta is the most popular seafood. Sliced fresh meat is called sashimi. The rice is a kind of sushi (Sushi rice) called sumeshi or sushimeshi.
