The Muong are a people living in in Hoa Binh province and mountainous districts of Thanh Hoa province. Population in Vietnam according to the 2009 Census is 1,268,963 people. Muong people have a tradition of farming and wet rice is the staple food. Muong people have a rich folk cultural treasure with many genres such as: long poems, mo songs, folk stories, folk songs, examples, proverbs. Muong people also sing ru ru, knives, singing flowers, singing quiz, singing children play ... Gong is a special instrument of the Muong people, besides, nhị, flute, hiu. The most typical of these types are the melodies of the Muong folk songs.
