* Có 3 loại lực ma sát:

* Lực ma sát có lợi:

- Khi viết bảng, xuất hiện lực ma sát trượt giữa phấn và bảng.

- Khi quẹt diêm, xuất hiện lực ma sát trượt giữa diêm và hộp tạo nên lửa

* Lực ma sát có hại:

- Khi đạp xe, xuất hiện ma sát trượt giữa xích và đĩa => Làm mòn.

- Khi quay ổ bi, xuất hiện ma sát lăn giữa trục quay và bi => Làm mòn.

* Muốn tăng lực ma sát:

- Làm bề mặt tiếp xúc gồ ghể, xù xì. Tăng độ nhám của bề mặt.

* Muốn giảm lực ma sát:

- Làm bề mặt tiếp xúc phẳng, nhẵn. Giảm độ nhám của bề mặt.
