THINK! What do you usually do with your friends at the weekend? 

1. Look at the programme for Special days at Highfield School. Check any new words. Which activities interest you? Which don't interest you?

2. Watch or listen and complete the dialogue. What do Daisy and Gareth decide to do?

Xem hoặc nghe và hoàn thành đoạn hội thoại. Daisy và Gareth quyết định làm gì?

Daisy: Hi. It's International Day at the school on Saturday.

Gareth: Oh yes. What's on?

Daisy: A lot of things. Look!

Gareth: Mmm. What do you want to do?

Daisy: Well, I'm not really interested in the ¹ _______.

Gareth: No? I like the sound of the ² _______ in the afternoon. 

Daisy: Right, and what about the ³ _______?

Gareth: Yes, OK. Let's go to the ⁴ _______ and the concert. Then we can go to the ⁵ _______ in the evening.

Daisy: OK. Great.

Gareth: Mmm. What do you want to do? (Ừm. Bạn muốn làm gì?)

Daisy: Well, I'm not really interested in the cooking class. (Chà, mình không thực sự hứng thú với lớp học nấu ăn.)

Gareth: No? I like the sound of the concert in the afternoon. (Không ư? Mình thì thích âm thanh của buổi hòa nhạc vào buổi chiều.)

Daisy: Right, and what about the disco? (Phải đó, còn sàn nhảy thì sao?)

Gareth: Yes, OK. Let's go to the dance competition and the concert. Then we can go to the disco in the evening. (À, được thôi. Hãy đến với cuộc thi khiêu vũ và buổi hòa nhạc. Sau đó, chúng ta có thể đi đến sàn nhảy vào buổi tối.)

Daisy: OK. Great (OK. Thật tuyệt .)

3. Watch or listen again. Then practise the dialogue.

Xem hoặc nghe lại. Sau đó thực hành các đoạn hội thoại.

4. Study the Key Phrases. Then complete the mini-dialogue. Use some of the ideas from the Family Fun Day programme in exercise 1.

Nghiên cứu phần "Key Phrases". Sau đó hoàn thành đoạn hội thoại nhỏ. Sử dụng một số ý tưởng từ chương trình Ngày Gia đình Hạnh phúc trong bài tập 1.

A: It's Family Fun Day at the school on Saturday. What do you _______?

A: Right, and what about the _______?

B: OK. Let's go to the _______ and the _______.

Hướng dẫn:

A: It's Family Fun Day at the school on Saturday. What do you want to do? (Đó là Ngày Gia đình Hạnh phúc tại trường vào thứ Bảy. Bạn muốn làm gì không?)

B: I like the vibrant atmosphere of the family sports. (Mình thích không khí sôi động của các môn thể thao gia đình.)

A: Right, and what about the barbecue? (Phải rồi, còn tiệc nướng ngoài trời thì sao?)

B: OK. Let's go to the family sports and the barbecue. (OK. Đến tham gia các môn thể thao gia đình và tiệc nướng thôi.)

5. USE IT! Work in pairs. Look at the cinema programme. Prepare and practise a new dialogue. Use the dialogue in exercise 2 and the Key Phrases.

Làm việc theo cặp. Nhìn vào chương trình điện ảnh. Chuẩn bị và thực hành một đoạn hội thoại mới. Sử dụng đoạn hội thoại trong bài tập 2 và phần "Key Phrases".

Example: 

A: Hi. It's Vista Cinema. (Xin chào. Đó là Rạp chiếu phim Vista.)

B: Oh yes. Are there any good movies there? (Ồ vâng. Có bộ phim nào hay ở đó không?)

A: There are a lot of good movies. Look! (Có rất nhiều phim hay. Nhìn kìa!)

B: Humm... What movie do you want to watch? (Hừm... Bạn muốn xem bộ phim nào?)

A: I want to watch the movie "Beautiful Life" showing at 2.15 p.m. (Mình muốn xem phim "Cuộc sống tươi đẹp" chiếu lúc 2 giờ 15 chiều.)

B: Oh. Me too. (Ồ. Mình cũng vậy.)
