Dear Linh,

I am so glad when I received your letter. I am sorry because I am so busy that I haven’t written to you all this time. Today, I want to tell you about my tiny family. There are four members: my parents, my older sister and me. My father is 45 years old named Hung. He works at the factory. My mom is a teacher and she is 40 years old. Her name is Van and she is a pretty woman. My sister is 3 years older than me named Phuong. My family is always very happy and willing to help together. At the weekend, my family often goes picnic or visit our grandparents in Hai Phong. In my free time, I always help my parents clean the house and wash the clothes. And you? Could you tell me anout your life family? I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

We all wish to live a happy life. But few can tell how to get happiness in this world. Experience teaches us that unmixed happiness is not a thing of this world.

In my opinion a happy life means that life which is free from cares and worries. This freedom from worries cannot be obtained with a lot of money. It can be obtained by habit of mind. Many people worry about small things. Many of us worry about the future and the trouble that will come. However mostly these troubles never come.

Money is a necessary thing but it is not the only thing that will keep us happy. So many millionaires spend sleepless nights. I want enough money for my normal expenses but not excessive money. Health is wealth is a famous quotation and I full subscribe to it. A healthy body and a healthy mind is essential to keep one happy. A sick man can never be happy. He will want to die rather than to live in misery. A healthy person can work hard and sleep well. He can eat well and enjoy all the good things of life.

I want to possess only those many things that I need for myself. I know that many numbers of things cannot make a man happy. The more things a man has, the more he wishes to have. He is never satisfied. A content man only can be happy. Midas, with all his gold was a sad man while a goldsmith is happy with his small earnings.

To be really happy, a man should lead a truthful and honest life. He should help his fellowmen and love them. A man loved and respected by other is always happy. To be guide by love in all the action is the key to happiness. We should love and fear God. We should love faith in him and pray to him.

Thus we see that a happy man is he who has enough to eat, who enjoys sound health, is contended leads a truthful and honest life and has faith in God. Such is my idea of a happy life.

nếu ko thích cái trên thì có thể bằng cái này nè | When I begin to think of my idea of a happy life, I think first of all of money -- plenty of money for everything all the time. Money to buy a beautiful house for my parents or my brothers and sisters with every convenience and luxury, money to buy a fine motor car, all the clothes we could ever want and as many possessions like transistors, bicycles and modern appliances, as the heart could desire. money too, for foreign travel and for a first class education. Then, I think, I could be happy. But, is this really the answer ? It is true that the possession of money contributes to comfort and easy living, but money in itself cannot create happiness. Let us look at some of the world's richest people. Barbara Hutton, the Woolworth's heiress, for example, was divorced several times and lived a most unhappy life. There are many other rich people, whose misery is much greater than that of those living with only enough money for the barest necessities of life. The essentials, therefore, of a happy life do not lie in money. Indeed, very many of them are things that money can never purchase. Good health is one of them and the one that we value least, until we are in danger of losing it. It is true that brave people who suffer from ill-health do surmount it and often find great happiness, but this needs great courage and all of them would admit that they would be happier with a healthy body and leading a normal life. Like most of my fellowmen, I am a gregarious animal and therefore, love and human companionship are important factors in my idea of a happy life. Since a child, I have needed the love of my parents and the affection of my brothers and sisters. In a wider circle, the interests of my uncles and aunts and the companionship of my school friends have all contributed to my happiness. Now that I am older, I realize that I must find a loving girl to marry, who will share all my joys and sorrows, and who will provide me with a congenial home life as a refuge from the storms and stresses of the world outside. My childhood friends are being substituted for adult companions in college and in clubs, but I am still surrounded by a wealth of friendship and love, which to me are essential for happiness. I am now training to be a lawyer in our university. This subject has always interested me and since a child, my dream has been to become a solicitor and to return to my town to work and to help people there. Here again, it is essential to happiness to be trained to do an interesting, worthwhile job that absorbs all one's working attention and provides an outlet for one's abilities and energies. I like sport of all kinds, particularly basket-ball and swimming, and my idea of a happy life would include time and opportunity for these pursuits. It would also include time to reading and for all my leisure activities and hobbies. Public service has always interested me, and so I would want to take some part in public life. What I actually do will, of course, depend on where I am living, but I shall certainly want to be an active member of my Residents' Committee and my local church. My faith too is important to me and therefore, it is essential for happiness that I should be able to live in a country, where the people walk in freedom to practice their own faiths. Singapore today, is a living example to the world, of this. People here, of many diverse cultures live side by side in peace, each contributing to the culture of the rest. All are tolerated. This is not so in every country of the world, and when freedom of speech and of action is taken away, as it regrettably can be, then all hope of happiness goes with it. It is said, and rightly so, that happiness is the most elusive and evasive thing of all, Indeed cynics have remarked that a man can only be truly happy when he is dead. The world would indeed be a miserable place if this were so, but fortunately, the majority of us find more happiness than unhappiness in our lives. The secret of happiness perhaps lies in wanting the right things first, in working hard, in giving more than in receiving, so that eventually, we are able to achieve it. |

Everyday life: The life of Mongolian is punctuated by caring animals. A Mongolian nomadic family has five types of animals: horses and sheep for hot season and cows, camels and goats for cold season.

Several times during the year, according to the needs of livestock and pasture conditions, nomadic families move their yurts.

In summer, the nomadic family will favor a location near a river, to ensure water supply for the family and herds, and good pastures.

In winter, the priority is given to protection against the intense cold of Mongolian winter, and the family settles its "winter" camp sheltered from the wind in a small valley or at the edge of a forest.

The woman is very busy with the household, kitchen, 2 or 3 children, and milking the mares, cows... at least five times a day.

The husband watches the herds of yaks, horses, cows and sheep scattered on often significant surfaces and must gather them every night to protect them against the wolf attacks, frequent in Mongolia.

He also deals with equipment maintenance and repairs.

Ways of cooking: In traditional Mongolian cooking, seasoning was not used; although salt was there a long time and it is used it even in tea! Typically, they cook with a wok and most of the foods are either boiled or stir-fried.

Since a lot of livestock is raised in Mongolia, it is no mystery that Mongolian cuisine revolves around them. Sheep and goat are most popularly which are either grilled or boiled.  Traditionally soup and dumplings used to be in all the courses of the meals, without which, it was regarded to be incomplete.

There are many types of crafts can be found in Mongolian culture: wooden sculptures, ger - nomadic dwelling, metalwork, embroidery art, leather crafting, art of jewelery.

The traditional masterpiece of Mongolian is the urtyn duu accompanied with the morin-khurr. Most famous Mongolian dance are: Jinai dance (milking dance), the Caihong dance (rainbow dance), the Zhongwan dance (bowl dance), the Kuaizi dance (chopsticks dance), and the Andai dance

There are lots of festival in Mongolia but these are the most well-known one: Tsagaan Sar (Lunar New Year); Khovsgol Ice Festival; Naadam Festival; Gongoriin Bombani Hural; Ölgii Eagle Festival.

Hello everyone, today our group will introduce the nomadic way of life in Mongolia. The life of Mongolian family depends on the healths of herds and is punctuated by caring for animals.

Traditionally, a Mongolian nomadic family has five types of animals: horses and sheep, cows / yaks, camels and goats.

Several times during the year, according to the needs of livestock and pasture conditions, nomadic families move their yurts.

The woman is very busy with the household, kitchen, 2 or 3 children, and milking the mares, cows... at least five times a day.

The processing of dairy products (cream, yogurt, liquor, milk, cheese ...) takes a long time as well.

The husband watches the herds of yaks, horses, cows and sheep scattered on often significant surfaces and must gather them every night to protect them against the wolf attacks, frequent in Mongolia. He also deals with equipment maintenance and repairs.

It is certainly true that people in rural areas move to cities in order to achieve high standards of living, but indeed life in cities is more challenging and difficult when compared to villages. There are several reasons for this kind of problem and various measures could be taken by government to improve the situation.

Life in the cities has its drawbacks, for instance, the cost of living in cities is higher than in rural areas, especially housing is much more expensive. As a result, homelessness is becoming more common in cities. There are also more serious problem like traffic congestion and some people do not manage work that can lead to people to commit crime. Moreover, there is a lack of sense of community in big cities, people do not even know their neighbors. Life in cities can be stressful and individuals do not have much time for themselves and their families, as a result the gap between family members is on the increase.

To overcome the increasing troublesome life in cities, the government should start some active measures. Firstly, one key to cities work better is good planning. Planners need to transform cities to make them beneficial for all citizens. Cities need green transport and green spaces; they need to be energy efficient and pedestrian friendly, with housing and jobs to attract people to come to live there. Secondly, the authority should make stricter laws to reduce traffic such as allowing ownership of only car per family and increasing the price of the car and petrol. And people would be encouraged to use public transport rather than driving. Finally, the initiatives could solve the housing problem by building high-rise apartment or by expanding cities.

In conclusion, it seems to me that there are various reasons for the problem in cities life that we are facing now and steps need to taken to tackle this problem.

Cities are often seen as places of opportunity, but there are also some major drawbacks of living in a large metropolis. In my opinion, governments could do much more to improve city life for the average inhabitant.

The main problem for anyone who hopes to migrate to a large city is that the cost of living is likely to be much higher than it is in a small town or village. Inhabitants of cities have to pay higher prices for housing, transport, and even food. Another issue is that urban areas tend to suffer from social problems such as high crime and poverty rates in comparison with rural areas. Furthermore, the air quality in cities is often poor, due to pollution from traffic, and the streets and public transport systems are usually overcrowded. As a result, city life can be unhealthy and stressful.

However, there are various steps that governments could take to tackle these problems. Firstly, they could invest money in the building of affordable or social housing to reduce the cost of living. Secondly, politicians have the power to ban vehicles from city centres and promote the use of cleaner public transport, which would help to reduce both air pollution and traffic congestion. In London, for example, the introduction of a congestion charge for drivers has helped to curb the traffic problem. A third option would be to develop provincial towns and rural areas, by moving industry and jobs to those regions, in order to reduce the pressure on major cities.

In conclusion, governments could certainly implement a range of measures to enhance the quality of life for all city residents.

My ideal planet for humans to live on would provide a suitable amount of energy and heat for life to thrive.  I suppose that we will be taller, stronger and more intelligent in our new life. The planet would have a diverse range of landscapes, which has a comfortable climate that was not too extreme, with plenty of freshwater sources and a variety of plant and animal species to support a healthy ecosystem. I expect that the inhabitants will have a strong sense of community and a deep connection to the natural environment, with a shared commitment to preserving the planet for future generations. In terms of technology, humans will invent advanced infrastructure to support modern living, including reliable communication networks, efficient transportation systems, and sustainable sources of energy.

A visible change of any living organism is getting older. Child, youth, adult and elder are some of the stages in our life. Child and elderly stages are dependent stages compared to other two stages. For both of these situations, a human being needs other’s support.

While we were children, our parents were there for our supportive role. When the parents became older, definitely their children need to be the supportive role for their parents. This is the role we carry among human beings vice versa. If the parents live with their children only parents will feel safer, attached to family and sharing of love. Unfortunately, many of them attending to works, they do not have time to look after their children neither their parents. In this case, elders could be sending to some a common place where other elders are staying. But payment cannot be made by the government.

Since it is the responsibility of their family, definitely family needs to pay for caring of their parents. They may not have enough time to take care of their parents. Since the government has employed special people for that, at least those elders’ parents need to be paid by their family.

For an example, many of the parents were private sector employees and they did not have a monthly pension scheme. But they have only Employee provident fund and employee trust funds. It has been used by the children of the parents in plantation sector of Sri Lanka. Finally, children will neither look after their parents nor elderly parents do not have own money in hand. That is, all advantages utilised from elders. When they become a stage of the dependent, families are trying to escape from their responsibilities. This is a kind of selfish. Paid by the government should be stopped and families should be paid for them.

Especially the children are responsible for looking after the parents; they should definitely pay for the parents and not the government.
