This festival is Ooc bom boc. It’s held by our ethnic group in Soc Trang on the 14^th and 15^th evenings of the 10^th lunar month. We worship OUT Moon God at the festival. We thank him because he gives us good harvest and plenty of fish in the rivers.

There are many activities: first we have a worshipping ceremony at home, under the bamboo archway or at the pagoda. When the moon appears, the old pray to the Moon God and the children raise their elapsed hands to the moor. The offerings are green rice flakes, coconuts, potatoes and pia cakes. Then we float beautiful paper lanterns on the river, and the next evening, we hold thrilling dragon boat races.

As you know,Viet Nam has many famous fesivals during the Year such as: Mid-Autumn festival,Huong Pagoda festival,Hung King festival,etc.But Lunar New Year festival or Tet is the most popular and important for the Vietnamese people.tet occurs in the late Januray or early February in all regions of Viet Nam.Tet is a time for family reunions gathering,thanks to their ancestors,the gods,..Before Tet,all family members prepare for tet,they often clean and decorate houses,go shopping to buy flowers,food,new clothes,etc.They are also cook "Bánh chưng"and"Bánh Tét" these are two traditional type of cake in Viet Nam.On New Year's Eve,people often go out with family or friengds to watch fireworks or stay at home.On Tet days,poeple often wear new clothes,give the best wishes to each other and the children like get luck money very much.They go to visit the relatives,grandparants.My family go the the graves and burn incenses for the death on the first morning of Tet.The Vietnamese have a belief that the first-footing is very important because they decide to the fortune of your family of the year.In conclusion,tet is a meaningful and important festival for the most Vietnamese so people shoul spend time for their family gatherings.

I live in Hai Duong City. It's a big and noisy city. There are a lot of houses, shops and schools here. The people here are very friendly. They always busy with their work. But sometimes they are so very noisy and I don't like that. The environment is clean. Hai Duong has specially is green bean cakes. I love my city very much because it is my home town
