My favourite hobby is reading. I enjoy reading a book when I am free. I started to do it when I was four years old. The first time I did it, I felt interested. So I kept reading. The teachers always taught me to read the difficult words. I was happy when I read a story with a happy ending. I was thrilled when I read a detective story. I read at least one hour every day. I read books by myself. I usually read it at home. I wish I could read different kinds of books because it might be very challenging.

One of my hobbies is listening to music, especially English songs. My hobby started when I was a first – year student at Da Nang University of Technology. I spend much time on it. I can listening when I am doing my housework such as clean the floor, wash clothes, wash dish…or when I sleep…I love Taylor Swift, Rihana…they are great singers. I can learn English vocabulary when listening to English songs and it also make me feel relaxed. I think it a good hobby and I will never stop it.

My hobby is gardening. I started my hobby 3 years ago. I really like it because I can do it with my family. My family can join in and do something together. We usually spend 1 hour on Sunday morning in our garden. I need some plants, gloves, pots and soil to do my hobby. Gardening has many benefits. It helps me become more patient and responsible. I also learn about insects and bugs. Gardening can help us to protect our environment.

Cooking has been my hobby for several years. My grandmother taught me how to cook my first dish when I was 8. She was a professional chef and owned her own restaurant. Some people say cooking is a waste of time but I find this hobby very interesting and meaningful. Whenever I feel sad or upset, cooking ease that for me in a big way, because I will have very little time to think when I am cooking. The cooking is challenging my mind and taking my mind off the stress of everyday life. Another advantage is that it enables me to expand my creativity. I have invested hours of my time per day to be more knowledge about different cooking methods. I hope I will become a good chef and have my own cookery book in the future.
