1. Do you get enough sleep? If not, why not?
2. How do you feel if you don't get enough sleep? What things are more difficult to do?
3. Do you use gadgets such as mobiles late at night? What for? Do you find that they keep you awake?
4. When are you most alert? Are you a 'lark', an 'owl, or in between the two? Explain your answer.
A: Hi there, do you get enough sleep?
B: Hmm, I don't think so. I usually stay up late finishing homework or scrolling through my phone.
A: How does that make you feel?
B: Honestly, it makes me feel pretty tired and grumpy during the day. I find it harder to concentrate in class and I just don't feel like myself.
A: Do you use your phone or other gadgets late at night?
B: Yeah, I do. I usually listen to music or watch videos before I go to bed. But sometimes I end up scrolling through social media for hours without even realizing it.
A: Do you find that keeps you awake?
B: Definitely. Sometimes I'll be on my phone until 1 or 2 in the morning, and then I'll have a hard time falling asleep.
A: When do you feel most alert during the day?
B: I think I'm somewhere in between a lark and an owl. I'm usually pretty alert in the mornings, but I tend to hit a bit of a slump in the early afternoon. But I usually get a second wind later in the evening, which is why I stay up so late.
A: That's interesting. Well, try to get some more sleep if you can. It'll help you feel better during the day and be more focused in class.
Tạm dịch:
A: Chào bạn, bạn ngủ có đủ giấc không?
B: Hmm, tôi không nghĩ vậy. Tôi thường thức khuya để hoàn thành bài tập về nhà hoặc lướt điện thoại.
A: Điều đó khiến bạn cảm thấy thế nào?
A: Khi nào bạn cảm thấy tỉnh táo nhất trong ngày?
A: Điều đó thật thú vị.
