others. We can do it near the area where we live, so our own community can benefit from
our work. Community service can help different people: children, the elderly, disabled
people and even the environment.
Community service is often done as a group, or non-profit organization, but we can
also start our own community service projects. We do not get paid or earn money to do
community service.
Many people participate in community service because they enjoy helping others
and improving their community. Some students are required to do community service in
order to graduate high school.
