Vietnam is a country with many festivals. The Mid – Autumn festival is a special one for Vietnamese children. It is held on the 15 day of August by lunar calender. On this day, parents prepare many different foods for their children such as Moon cakes, candies, biscuits, fruit,… All of them are designed with funny symbols when the moon is rising, children join lantern parades. They walk along the streets. They perform fantastic lion dances, sing folk songs in the moonlight. It is really an excitng show. The Mid – Autumn festival is an opprtunir for a family re-union. The young generation express their gratitude to the old generation and parents show their love for their children. The Mid-Autumn festival dates back to the Rice Civilization of the Red River delta, over 4000 years ago. It is fantastic and charming with its history.
