I x+100 I = x+100

=> I x+1 I + I x+2 I +... I x+100 I = x+1 + x+2 + .... + x + 100 = 100x + ( 1+2+....+100) = 100x + 5050 = 605x

=> 605x -100x = 5050

=> 505x = 5050

=> x = 10

b) \(\frac{x+1}{2}=\frac{8}{x+1}\Rightarrow\left(x+1\right)\left(x+1\right)=2.8\)
