$=\sqrt{(\sqrt{5}+2)^2}-\sqrt{(\sqrt{5}-2)^2}$

$=|\sqrt{5}+2|-|\sqrt{5}-2|=(\sqrt{5}+2)-(\sqrt{5}-2)=4$

b.

$=\sqrt{3-2.3\sqrt{3}+3^2}+\sqrt{3+2.3.\sqrt{3}+3^2}$

$=\sqrt{(\sqrt{3}-3)^2}+\sqrt{(\sqrt{3}+3)^2}$
